Very grave news. The details of this story need to be confirmed. It is also stated that the gunman managed to kill himself by setting himself on fire.

Earlier today, Philippines officials were saying that the situation at the hotel was under control and all guests were safe.

Yes, and ABC told its viewers that it “wasn’t terrorism” and that Trump spoke too soon on the topic.

Tough to keep up with which country has the most untruthful media coverage...

How did 36 people suffocate and die but, were not shot?

That’s what I was asking myself, also. It is possible for a room full of people to suffocate during a fire, so that may be it.

But this whole incident is obscure. The govt initially tried to cover it up. I wonder if it is the work of a group - not one armed man as they say. I also wonder if this sole perp is ‘burned beyond recognition.’ That also sounds off.

So ... waiting for more news. This sounds like a major terrorist incident to me. The Philippines relies upon tourism, so they may have a motive to downplay it.

Work place violence, no doubt.
An angry housekeeper or front desk manager.

Surely it could not be the religion of peace.

It’s the Philippines.

Communism is just as likely as Islam. It’s like the two totalitarian ideologies are having a competition to slaughter the most civilians.

Block or lock the exits from the outside and set the place on fire. Easy, peasy.

“Yes, and ABC told its viewers that it “wasn’t terrorism” “

I’m sure the thousands of people in the hotel were not terrorized - they just went on with their business.

They're calling it a robbery that went bad, plus a fire that caused the suffocation deaths.

Hey, it could happen.

This is really getting insane. The media that used to vehemently deny even having “bias” is now down to the third grade level where they can never report Trump is right about ANYTHING, even when he clearly is. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a media this completely unhinged. They’re like Jonestown cultists feverishly knocking back Kool Aid.

Sure, and Jonestown was an unfortunate case of food poisoning.

I wonder if a guy named Mohammed locked a large group of people in a room then started a fire to suffocate them.

ISIS claimed responsibility, no? I just their reporting more than our CommieMedia.

The cellphone video I saw sure smacks of a terrorist attack to me.

I don’t vacation in gun-free zones. There was no good guy with a gun to stop that lone wolf attacker.

True, but in your heart you know our mainstream media propagandists are the most skillful and polished.

My first thought is a James Bond type of gas that was used on a top floor of a hotel in the quiet of the night.

Seems VERY far fetched, but if it is true 34 suffocated, that can only mean SOMETHING took the place of oxygen (probably while sleeping) and gently put everyone to permanent sleep.

Gruesome way to go, but in this case, I heartily approve!
