Crap. Now even more California refugees will be pouring into Texas.
These Californians are developing contingency plans. We are opting for Idaho instead of Texas, so you breath a sigh of relief.
The big question is whether us folks heading into retirement would be winners being able to soak others or if we would be losers. I suspect we will all be losers and have to head for the exits. House prices here will decline and will jump all over the west as sensible Californians flee.
Years ago my brother learned that Californians were selling out, moving to Texas, buying an equivalent house, and still had excess money to spend. No doubt they will be bringing California ideas to Texas, God help us all.

I'm not too worried. I escaped California and moved my family to Texas eleven years ago. It was expensive, and hard to do. Most libs don't have the wherewithal to manage it, and most wouldn't think of moving here to begin with.
Of those who do manage to make it here, many don't last. I've seen several libs go back to where they came from after trying to make it here. This ain't LaLa Land.
