Italy, France and Germany said on Thursday they regretted U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord and dismissed his suggestion that the global pact could be revised.

"We deem the momentum generated in Paris in December 2015 irreversible and we firmly believe that the Paris Agreement cannot be renegotiated, since it is a vital instrument for our planet, societies and economies," the leaders of the three countries said in a joint statement.

Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron urged all their allies to speed up efforts to combat climate change and said they would do more to help developing countries adapt.

Seems to me it just reversed.

No renegotiation? Well, that’s just a crying shame. Oh well.

Fine! We're out! All I want to know is what are the costs of termination? I'd hate to see the US continue at ANY LEVEL providing ANY FUNDS, and absolutely no intervention in our sovereign activities.

as Trump said, if we can renegotiate that would be great, if not, that’s fine too. What is Europe’s leverage? America has half a mind to let Russia play in your backyard :D

THAT'S NICE!, said the southern girl. Since they seem intent on driving their countries back to the medieval ages with all the muzzies, it somehow seems right that do all they can otherwise to hasten the process.

“”We deem the momentum generated in Paris in December 2015 irreversible”

Testimony to the biggest collective delusion in human history, with the exception of man deciding what’s right and wrong.

The Paris agreement was shot dead today. Worldwide, it’s a dead letter. And NOBODY will uphold their parts of the agreement.

Their only leverage is that Macron will get one of those hand grip squeezers to work out, so his handshake will have more covfefe next time.
He will aim to break Trump’s hand and promptly be tackled by the SS.

Since Carbon emissions have gone down in t he US since 2005, there doesn’t appear to be a need here. I read on Yahoo that China and the US account for 40% of all CO2 emissions and are 1 and 2 on the list. Then I read something that said the US contributed approximately 3 billion of 38 billion tons of carbon released per year.

If everyone cleans up their act, I think it is only fair that the US ups their production levels of carbon as an offset since if we cool down too quickly we are liable to go into a global freeze.
