They are actually trying to pass off Mizzou’s enrollment and financial problems as the result of a lack of diversity.

When obviously the problem is sensible parents and students wanting to get the hell out while the gettin’ is good.

“A Navy SEAL veteran with four deployments, Greitens compared Mizzou students unfavorably to the “19-, 20-, 21-year-old” servicemembers he served alongside.”

Greitens is the new governor.

Mizzou is my alma mater and they can crater for all I care. Someone needs to be an example for the leftists running the universities and if cratering leads to a reorganization and reform then I am all for it.

Every institution of higher learning must choose between advancing and defending truth or advancing socialist post-modern ideology such as “social justice” whatever that really means.

So far Mizzou has chosen to advance socialist post-modernist ideology.

Not only should no parent in their right mind set their child to such an institution, but no corporate hiring manager in his right mind would want to invite any Mizzou graduate into his pool of employees.

It would be easier for the Governor of Missouri to turn Mizzou around but the peculiar quirk of the Missouri STate Constitution makes Mizzou into something almost like a fourth branch of government.

A lot of libs agree with him. These are just a few of many areas where liberals (but not progressives) can be open-minded

* You can support Bernie OR Hillary.

* Even if you demand single-payer you should listen to those who will settle for a public option (as long as it’s free for the poor).

* While it’s best to ban all firearms, some sane people want to allow single-shot muskets and should not be physically assaulted for that position.

* There’s still room for debate whether the minimum wage should be $12/hour or $15/hour.

* Marx, Mao, Stalin, and Fidel all have ideas we should try to emulate. Even though they are a diverse group we should not pick one to idolize and ignore the others. It’s ok if you and I pick a different favorite.

Anyone who is not open-minded enough to pick from these options is a close-minded conservative who hates you and who’s diversity should not be tolerated. We agree on that but there is great diversity in options for how they should be silenced.

My father is a Mizzou alum and so am I. Although we live 500 miles away from campus, I took my oldest son for a campus visit 6 years ago. He chose another school.
In Sept 2015, I took my second son for a visit. He was considering Mizzou when academic excellence was sacrificed to the gods of diversity and political correctness. Thankfully, he chose another school. Increasing tuition will only exacerbate the problem. The only way to fix this mess is to drain the swamp and reinstate a focus on academics. Terminate the “social justice” faculty, starting with top administration and then moving to the departments of grievance studies.

It started years ago. I am a Mizzou alum as well, went on a baseball scholarship. I also shot on a trap and skeet team. We traveled to the National Collegiate Championships, applied for expenses to go, got turned down flat, nothing. We paid for our own gas, ammo, and motel, and won 1st in team trapshooting.

Meanwhile, the same year, the gay students association received over $15000. I don’t remember which year it was, but somewhere around 1976. Obviously it hasn’t gotten better since then.

LOL from SUNY to Missouri. Not exactly the AA of academia. Actually, SUNY has some excellent schools. But Missou? Mid America has no real bagels, fresh fish or fresh roasted coffee beans for these snowflakes. LOL
