Stock Market Hits All Time High
yahoo finance ^ | 6/1/2017 | LS

Posted on 06/01/2017 10:30:17 AM PDT by LS

The Dow just crossed 21,132, vs. 21,115 in March.

Jobs report is excellent---more than a quarter of a million new jobs in the month.

Economic confidence higher than any time since 2001.

I'm hearing that the AT Fed will revise UPWARD the 1st quarter numbers and that over 3% GDP this year a real possibility.

They must not fear us not signing the Paris Climate Accord.

When does the deficit clock start running backwards? Winning!

Actually, if you’re interested, I have a longer treatise on why I don’t think deficits and debt matters-—not because debt doesn’t matter but because we haven’t been calculating it right for 25 years and we really don’t have the deficits and levels of debt that it appears.

When does your treatise predict that the clock will run backwards?

It won’t, but in real terms it has been for a while.

Since early 1990s, economists’ models have completely fallen short of capturing real values. For ex., REAL value of US assets probably leave us with a very small national debt to assets ratio.

No. This is real growth, based (as all real growth is) on economic expectations, or what Keynes called “animal spirits.” George Gilder said the same thing.

Expectations drive everything. And no, the dollars aren’t “worthless” and you have almost zero inflation. Can’t find an economic theory in the world that says that you can have “worthless dollars” and no wage or price inflation.

Try again.

I hope all the stolen gains from the ‘08 Crash were 100% invested in carbon credits.

Ever look at a 90 year chart of the Dow? the 1929 crash barely appears as a teeny blip. Even 87, hardly a drop.
