Right on cue, CNN is out with another one of their "Breaking News" things: "First on CNN: Sources: Congress investigating another possible Sessions-Kislyak meeting"

It appears this is yet another rehash of the time Sessions (and many others) met the ambassador in a reception at some hotel before a Trump rally.

I guess every time CNN revives these stories they count as "new revelations" that Congress must now "investigate"

These hearings are preceded by written questions, then written answers, and then little straying from the script for the tv show. It’s not even ‘reality’ tv, as ‘reality’ tv doesn’t have paid writers like the hearing scripts.

Congress won’t exercise their power to punish contempt, and won’t punish agencies via budgets, so of course no insider takes hearings seriously.
