Bill O'Reilly: Fox can't 'handle another shake-up' if Sean Hannity goes
The Hill ^ | 05/30/2017 | BY MAX GREENWOOD

Bill O'Reilly said on Tuesday that Fox News is unlikely to do away with host Sean Hannity, adding that the conservative network can't "handle another shake-up" after his own ouster.

"It’s the same thing, the far left going after him, trying to get him off the air," O’Reilly told The Associated Press in an interview. "I think Hannity will survive because I don’t know if Fox can handle another shake-up like that."

O'Reilly was fired from Fox News last month after a New York Times report revealed that the network had paid about $13 million in legal settlements to five women who had accused the former "O'Reilly Factor" host of sexual harassment.

Before being removed from Fox, O'Reilly was among Fox News's highest-profile personalities, and his show was the top-rated cable news program. The conservative television host earlier this month cast his ouster as "a hit" by the "far left." And on Tuesday, he said that Hannity, also one of Fox News's major personalities, is being subjected to the same treatment.

Hannity has seen several advertisers pull out of his show in recent days after he propagated a conspiracy theory on air regarding the 2016 killing of former Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich.

If Fox doesn’t understand why The Five isn’t pulling ratings, they’re lost anyway.

Bill can’t give what will be seen as a reasoned criticism right now.

He should avoid making statements addressing FoxNews.

I think he’s on target here, but the comments will be seen as someone who just got let go, and has an axe to grind.

O’Reilly was probably getting to the end anyways. After all he is approaching age 70 and was only going live 4 days a week for his last several months. Fox would be ill served to let Hannity go. Today, I tuned in Shep. Smith and watched him quote Politico and just about every Democrat talking point. If Fox doesn’t get rid of Smith, they are making a big mistake.

Leave FOX now Shawn.

Let them go liberal.

It’s the only way they’ll earn.

Here's the problem. Fox News deserves to be forced to shut down. Hannity can stay, and we can argue whether he's at all controlled by the puppermasters. But we'll always worry about that.

Even if he isn't there's a HUGE problem. By his staying, it enables Fox News to hang on longer, with the danger of poisoning the hearts and minds of those with not fully formed conservative values. Better that Hannity leave, let Fox News fall into inglorious and fast ruin. Then some other "news" network can change its attitude toward us little folk, or a new conservative network will emerge.

Seth Rich’s murder for leaking emails not a conspiracy theory.

It’s a theory.

He was murdered. Nothing has been released about it. The recipient of the leaks has hinted at Seth Rich being involved.

So, it’s not a conspiracy. It’s a pretty cut and dried, regular old theory.

We may control the government for a few years, but the Transnational Progressives (i.e. Communists) control the narrative right now and the minds of the youth. If they don’t do something stupid and start a civil war where we actually have to kill them all in the next decade, they will literally “sweep us into the ashbin of history”, as their Soviet predecessors used to say.

Id like to see Hannity look at the money he’s made, realize what life that would already give him. Thank them and leave. Move to Texas, open up a local show on some local network. Stay on the radio...enjoy life.

I think Fox is reshuffling the deck and getting rid of some cards.

They are moving Left in my eyes and if they are, they will have a tough time getting an audience back since all of the alphabet soup networks plus CNN and MSNBC are all Left leaning, if not way Left, already.

Murdoch's sons, who are running the network since Ailes was let go, are both Lefties. They will probably want to keep Mascara Shep because he fits their new model.

Change is inevitable. All good things must end. The future is uncertain.

Who knows, maybe the Murdoch boys will sell Fox News to MSNBC

O’Reilly is 100% correct. I wasn’t a huge fan of O’Reilly but his show was 10 times more interesting than Tucker Carlson’s. “The Five” is a joke. Only “Hannity” keeps FNC from ratings disaster.

The real problem isn’t that the Murdoch Boys are Leftists, but they are both married to died in the wool Liberal wives who are wagging their tails (If you get my drift).

Well stated.

Well stated.

FOX still remains the only network I get on Dish that has at least some conservative viewpoints. Judge Jeanine is great. Lou Dobbs, Newt, and others have made good points. One might not like BOR, but during the elections he had Trump on while Hillary refused. With his large audience, it could only have helped Trump.

Sean Hannity kept the Seth Rich case alive. His views are needed on FOX, needed to reach the undecided and not just those who agree with him already.

Have you considered that Shep Smith is just the person the Murdock boys like best?

Boling’s show is weak (and I’m a fan of his)....the two bimbos with him don’t add anything. So 5 o’clock is gone. “The Five” belongs in the “five o’clock” slot” ... it is a touchy/friendly/talky show good for after work ... but not nearly the calibre needed for prime time at 9 o’clock. BOR is correct, if Hannity goes, Fox is history ... they are circling the drain now with the ratings.

"BOR, sliding down that slippery path to anonymity."

I doubt that, OR is too much of a personality...if he has any time on his hands I wish he would investigate just who these radical lefties are and who is paying those women to claim a she says, he says. I am sure he would find some interesting high profile people in the mix.

As for Sean, he has my support...I don't give a rat's patootie what someone claims he has done.
