Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that failing to act on climate change would be “morally criminal” and voiced strong support for the “vision” of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
His comments came as Merkel is emerging as the world leader most openly at odds with US President Donald Trump, saying days ago that Europe could no longer completely rely on traditional ally the United States and needed to find its own way.
Modi, on a Berlin visit kicking off a four-nation Europe tour, pledged India’s commitment to democracy and a strong European Union, and argued that failing to act against global warming would be “a morally criminal act”.
“We do not have the right to despoil the environment for future generations,” he said in Hindi, at a joint press conference with Merkel.
Many of Modi’s comments contrasted sharply with positions of Trump, who has denied climate change, criticized the EU, predicted more countries will leave the EU and spoken out against free trade while pushing an “America First” policy. …

Obviously, the right thoughts have not yet been communicated. It is OK for India and China to CONTINUE to spew “pollution” (whatever that means), as long as the US pays for the cleanup efforts, by taxing the American citizens into penury and crippling our own industrial capability.
India is probably making some effort to curb future pollution, by its intensive study in the design of Thorium-fueled Molten Salt nuclear reactors for the generation of electric power, as India seems to have plenty of thorium, but not so much coal.
China is even trying to get into the “less carbon” energy sources, by tapping into the huge stores of Methane Hydrate on the sea bottom of the South China Sea, converting it into natural gas to drive their industries, rather than their current heavy dependence on coal.
But these are all technologies that may not be available for wide application for another 20 years or more, given the slow adoption and limited capital that is being dedicated to these alternatives.
A cow worshiper complimented Merkel after visioning her rear end.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi should have his own scientists take a look at the lack of any scientific basis for man made climate change. It should not take him long to see that there is no evidence to support the claim that mankind is causing climate change.
Perhaps the Indian Prime Minister does not know the difference between a charlatan and a genuine scientist practicing the scientific method.
He should stop getting his news from CNN and Chicken Little.
Hoping our president will continue to try to keep us at arm’s length from this kind of idiotic thinking.

As expected, you are under incredible pressure to keep us in the Paris Climate international wealth redistribution SCAM. That you have thus far resisted that pressure is a testament to your courage and willpower.
All those of us who supported you — and STILL DO — need to know about how disastrous is the Paris deal is that virtually ALL the European and other officials you met on your trip URGED YOU TO REMAIN IN THE THING.
The judgement of those who leaned on you to do so — Trudeau, May, Merkel and others — MUST be taken into account: They are the same folks (freeloaders?) who resent that you asked them to pick up THEIR share of NATO costs and who invite murderous muslims into their nations, guaranteeing the destruction of their cultures and more atrocities like Manchester.
