GOP leader tempers ObamaCare expectations
The Hill ^ | 5/29/17 | Alexander Bolton

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is tempering expectations that the Senate will pass an overhaul of the nation’s healthcare system, promising his colleagues a vote but not success.

McConnell in his public comments and private conversations about the ObamaCare repeal and replace bill is painting a more sober picture than Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who in March guaranteed passage through the House.

I still think both Ryan and McConnell are behind the scenes sabotaging Pres. Trump's agenda. If the Republican Establishment clowns think they can do that and still get support from Conservative Republicans in the 2018 and 2020 electins, they are sadly mistaken.

Maybe President Trump should send Mad Dog Mattis over to talk with them... a little backbone training might help...

They seem to be getting better and better at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Democrats fell in line and approved the Turd known as Obamacare. I’m sure most of them knew it was a crap sandwich yet still risked their political careers at the insistence of Pelosi and Reid. Many were voted out over the next 5 years. Republicans can’t do the same with regard to any “repeal” bill, no matter how watered-down the legislation is made. They are disloyalists.

I am losing my “temper” with these treacherous A holes.

No excuses. These snakes are downright liars.
Treachery needs to be punished.

Losers to the core. Nothing say courage like declaring defeat preemptively.

Stuck between a rock and hard place.

If they pass the bill, the Republicans "own" ObamaCare and its imminent failure. The democrats will see to it that it fails as RyanCare or TrumpCare, all the while claiming ObamaCare would have succeeded if not for Republican meddling. If they don't pass the bill, they are traitors to Paul Ryan and the Republican party (though I don't think that will stick to Trump). It will be played out as just another "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" Republican routine that we seen played over and over again for decades.

We tried to warn the Republicans. We encouraged them to stay out of this trap. We begged for the clean repeal bill Mo Brooks had in committee to be released if for no other reason than to out our enemies within. But ... there are either too many democrats in our ranks working against us, or the republicans in charge are too stupid to play chess.

It appears to me that no matter which party in in control, the Established Politicians are the government of the parties, by the parties and for the parties and not of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Yep.

They work for the advancement of the government and its agenda, and not one thing else.

Their are two parties in this country.

Us and Them.

Trump sabotaged his own agenda by promising A. all pre-existing conditions will always be covered B. no one has to buy insurance if they don’t want C. It will be cheaper than before.

Those are mutually exclusive mandates, and no plan can fulfill them short of perhaps, socialized medicine, which Trump has long said he favors.

The cowardly Republican establishment Congress and Senate members are outing themselves as being the same members who failed to push back for the last 8 years, thereby yielding up a measure of liberty for future generations!

Even though we knew that the Republicrats would do this, we still haven’t figured out what to do. This is because we have conservative groups that are proud of themselves for not having a single leader. In addition, those same groups are now afraid to do something for fear of more IRS audits.

The IRS audits are over and done with. We should be fundraising to prepare candidates to primary RINOS. With less than two years before the next primary, there should already be commercials running in districts where we can knock off a RINO and keep the seat Republican. Why isn’t this happening?

We need to threaten the RINO’s in such a way that they have no choice but to live up to their commitments to their constituents. Instead we talk a good game then complain when we lose.

The senate forgets that President Trump can go a long way on his own to making Obamacare untenable. When it begins to collapse in earnest, senators will be under increasing pressure, not just for a senate version, but for results in conference committee, and an up or down vote.

I don’t think that any republicans in the Senate supported Obamacare. I’m not sure about the House.
