Skydiving has a certain risk, over and above just flying; I know, my son "Ace" used to "throw out skydivers" for a living. I'm so glad he doesn't do that anymore! It's even more dangerous for the pilots than other types of commercial flying.

Because so many have made it appear to be so safe because of the lack of accidents there is always one that snaps you back to reality that jumping is dangerous and not relegated to a particular party
