It seems like I remember some obscure interview about this book in the mid 90’s...might have been an early NPR Fresh Aire interview.

I consider the myth of Prometheus a kind of apologetic of Satan, his excuse as to why he forced humans into moral consciousness before we were ready, tempting us to think of ourselves as “I AM THAT I AM” instead of allowing Adam and Eve to first come to terms with the I AM that was I AM ADAM and the I AM that was “I AM EVE” . I hope that the knowledge that Jesus rose from the grave acts on Satan’s spiritual “guts” the same way a vulture kept chewing on Prometheus’ liver during the day.(the liver always grew back at night).

I picked it up from the discount table at a bookstore up in Santa Cruz during a visit to Borland back round’, oh 1995 IIRC.

It provided profound insight into the drug fueled nexus of the budding techno-counterculture... in the days before Algore’s DARPAnet thing really took off.

Observe how the serpentine temporal powers and principalities consume and regenerate themselves...
