The general command of the Kurdish Peoples Protection Units (YPG) on Wednesday announced the death of eight of its fighters in northern Syria.
Five YPG fighters were killed in clashes with ISIS in Raqqa province, YPG officer Habun Osman told ARA News.
Three others Kurdish fighters lost their lives after the Turkish army hit a YPG security office in the Jinderis area of Afrin district, northwest of Aleppo.
As our fighters continue their struggle to liberate Raqqa from ISIS terrorists, Turkeys military intensified its attacks against our headquarters in Rojava. The Turkish shelling caused the death of three YPG fighters and the injury of several others in Jinderis area of Afrin, the Kurdish command said on Wednesday.
In an official statement, the YPG leadership identified the fighters who were killed in Raqqa and Afrin as Talal Heseke, Siwar Shekho, Bashar Ebdulla, Ehmed Shekhmus, Khaled Eliko, Arsin Mardoyan, Mihemed Ali and Basel Ibrahim.
The YPG is a leading faction within the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), that are locked in fierce fighting against ISIS in the groups de facto capital of Raqqa.
Somehow the 3 hurt more, they were for no cause. Except Erdogan's arrogance.
Syria Ping
If Turkey is supporting ISIS why aren’t the US and Russia bombing them?
RIP.
