Way too many people without independent thinking or a critical thought process.
If the civilized world is to survive, Islam must be understood for what it really is: Its not a religion, form of government, or anything recognizable to the civilized mind. Islam is a disease, an incurable disease of the mind that is highly contagious among the feeble minded and is now spreading among the worlds feeble minded at an epidemic rate. As with any disease, one cant reason with this disease, negotiate with it, or treat in a manner other than how one would treat any other incurable disease.
As past efforts to contain this disease have failed, carriers of this Plague of Islam must be eradicated wherever they're found, for if they're not, this disease could eventually end not just Western Civilization, but it could undo over 5,000 years of human civilization.
Agree, and one thing to be glad for in Canadian education is the new direction given by the Ministry of Education in my province is to stress critical thinking. (The same government however still embraces global warming crap, go figure).
And that is also the sort of thinking I try to encourage in my kids.
Heard Rush talking about this today.
Critical thinking is the practice of making judgements ( < Greek "kritikos" = "able to discern or judge" ) about what you read or hear. To do it, you need to know three things: grammar (how language is used to express thought), logic (how arguments are constructed), and rhetoric (how arguments are presented). These three subjects are what used to be called the Trivium — the "trivial" stuff you had to learn before you got into "real" subjects.
Nowadays, we have "outcome-based education" and "Common Core", meaning, everybody is educated (read: "trained") to come to the correct (read: "PC") conclusions without any idea how they got there, and especially with zero hint that other conclusions might be possible.
Our taxes at work....
