A week filled with developments from the Trump administration has MSNBC leading primetime and CNN boasting total day demo victories.
There hasn't been a horse race like this in cable news in quite some time... if ever.
A week of humbling headlines for the embattled Trump administration proved to be ratings pay dirt for CNN and MSNBC, each of which scored significant victories in different day parts. Simultaneously, Fox News Channel posted its first five-day streak at No. 3 in primetime since 2000.
Both CNN and MSNBC nabbed big wins among adults 25-54, with CNN winning total day in the key demo for the workweek and MSNBC scoring in primetime. Though it was a tight race between 8 and 11 p.m. throughout the week, FNC ranked below the other two for the first time in almost 17 years.
Primetime Averages for May 15-19 1. MSNBC: 611,000 adults 25-54; 2.44 million viewers 2. CNN: 589,000 adults 25-54; 1.65 million viewers 3. FNC: 497,000 adults 25-54; 2.41 million viewers
Standout telecasts include CNN's Anderson Cooper 360. With Bill O'Reilly now out of play in the 8 o'clock time slot for more than a month, Cooper placed No. 1 for the hour Monday through Friday. (The last time CNN had such a streak in the hour was during coverage of the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001.) MSNBC and FNC traded off the No. 2 slot, with O'Reilly replacement Tucker Carlson coming in at No. 3 on several nights.

Looks like their “we can be as left-wing as the rest of the MSM herd” strategy is working out just exactly as anyone with half a brain would have predicted.
FOX isn’t a conservative news network anymore.
May as well watch CNN if I’m going to get my news from liberals.
Maddow dominates Cooper.
Nearly a million people have cut cable this year. Liberals are more likely to be keeping it.
They were never all that conservative to begin with.
Fox lost their uck of the Irish when they fired The Leprechaun.
Lesson number 43,239 in what happens to a converged company.
Conservatives are likely getting their news online.
Surprised Carlson is not doing better. One of the few good shows left.
So the question is do the Murdoch boys double down on the stupid or do they pull their heads out of their asses. I’m betting they go all in on the stupid.
Why watch a FAUX LIBERAL NETWORK when you can watch the REAL thing!
It’s also this Russia thing
Libs are being strung along and tuning in MSNBC & CNN waiting & hoping for that “smoking gun” to finally come and lead to impeachment.
Conservatives and Independents on the other hand are sick and tired of this Russia thing and find it boring and annoying. So even if it’s a reporter/commentator on our side doing a positive spin it’s still BOOORRRRRRRRRRING and we change the channel.
If FNC cans:
They might have a chance.
But the ladies said he was always after their lucky charms.
Bigger piece of an ever-smaller pie.
Well, Murdoch’s kids seem to have accomplished what the other networks couldn’t do, kill FNC’s ratings. Personally I only watch Hannity during the week on FNC anymore. Tucker Carlson’s OK, but I get tired of his constant interviewing liberals with a baffled look on his face. Watters and Judge Jeanine are OK on weekends, that’s about it. Otherwise I watch Fox Business.
You forgot Sheptard Smith.
