Police in Citrus Heights, along with Animal Control, have become involved in the case. They say the two nuns were upset that cats were getting into their garden.

"For lack of a better term, these two ladies were at their wit's end and they just wanted some peace, and if they couldn't move themselves then they might be able to move the other half of the problem, which was the cats," Boehle said.

We once had an idiot neighbor - an old lady who was self-proclaimed “animal lover” who regularly spread out peanuts for squirrels. At any one time, you could count a half dozen or more in her small yard.

Soon we and others neighbors had squirrels in the eves of our houses, in garages - and mice and rats too.

First went after a man who trapped the squirrels and would take them to a forest miles away and release them.

Then they finally went after the fool woman who was feeding the rodents in the first place.

My wife and family lived on a second floor apt. in Des Plaines (suburban Chicago) and had a regular squirrel would come by and my wife would let him come in the window and get today's "goodies" (they'll let you know if it's the right stuff.)
Then the squirrel learned he can summon us to the window by banging his body (opposite of push-ups) on the screens loud enough to force us to wake up. It got to be un-cute a day or so later.
