Very strange. I saw the whole laptop thing in the press about two or three weeks prior to Trump’s remarks, when the UK announced that it was banning laptops on flights from certain ME countries because intelligence had learned that there was a plot to use them as bombs. It was speculated in the press at that time that the info came from Israel (today, btw, the Jordanians said it came from them). So this information was hardly “classified” in the first place - the Russians were already aware of the laptop ban and its reason - and the details were being openly speculated upon by the press itself, which of course was publishing its conclusions as fact.
But the question remains of who put this perfectly innocuous remark out in such a way that it could be depicted as a grave violation and the worst thing since Benedict Arnold.
They had a big thing here locally about our airport and the new policy. And it was at least a month ago.
Somebody in Trump’s inner circle is a traitor.
This whole "laptopgate" leakage crap is all crap anyway.
Also cannot remember when the last time I flew with a laptop but I am sure I was made to remove it from the case, power it up and the agent watched it boot up to the windows logo.
Then NOT to allow them to be carried in the cabin but to ALLOW them to be carried in the cargo bay instead is pure insanity. Has anyone ever heard of wireless transmitters?
These morons that are trying to protect us from these goat humpers will never protect us 100%. It is as simple as that. All we can do is even the odds by removing them from the breathing population.
