Some people are uncivilized savages. They are feral. they are unfit to live in civilized society.
How did we sink to this point? I often wonder. Many don’t have fathers. But, you would hope they get civilzing influences somewhere. School, for example??? For some, church?? Even if fatherless, do the mothers do anything to civilize these boys??
These 'teens' likely grew up in a situation where everybody around them stayed home all day, without going to work - mom, dad (if he's there), grandparents, other adults in the neighborhood - their 'normal' is to watch them lounge around all day.
And also, there has been a 'normalization' of criminal activity. Some in the neighborhood may be on fake disability...no big deal. Others may sell drugs...be hey they've got money. Etc Etc. Gone are the days where stealing makes one a pariah...as long as the victim is faceless.
There is another component here that some don't even believe, but I have heard it come out of people's mouths. There is an attitude in the black minority community that, since they put in a few hundred years as slaves, they shouldn't have to work now. Further, to be a working, productive member of society, if one is black, makes him at worst an 'Uncle Tom', but at best a 'chump' who is allowing himself to be abused by whites. I have witnessed black elementary school teachers express this philosophy. So, from an early age, kids get a 'vibe' from adults that working for a living is just plain stupid. Anyway, those have been my (sad) observations. Obviously, some break free of the cycle, but the cycle remains - mostly self imposed.

The government is raising these uncivilized animals. Parents used to teach their children how to live in a civilized society and taking them to Sunday School and church were essential to such training. As George Washington said, “Religion and morality are the essential pillars of a civil society.” John Adams agreed, stating, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.”And Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration of Independence, has this observation,”Without religion, I believe learning does real mischief to the morals and principles of mankind.”
Too bad we didn’t listen. Now we are living in the jungle.
