Democrats then latched onto the Russian meme and ran with it...to the floundering loser Dems, it's their lifesaver.
I think it’s probable that the Russian government did not “favor” Clinton OR Trump, per se, but rather had scenarios (with different goals) to implement, whoever won.
A Trump victory would have opened up all sorts of geopolitical opportunities. A Clinton victory would have opened up enormous opportunities for personal enrichment and further degradation of the USA, the latter as revenge for the fall of the USSR.
I'm not really buying into this Seth Rich murder/blame it on the Russians story. If Rich really was the leaker, and if Podesta and/or the DNC/Hillary had Rich murdered, why would they call for investigations into the "Russians hacking the election" when they would know the investigations would lead to their doorstep? It seems to me that if all this Seth Rich stuff is true, then Hillary, Podesta, the lapdog media, et al would not have started the Russian narrative at all. The prudent thing would be to lay low and blame Hillary's loss on bigoted misogynistic white guys.
But wait, Secretary of State Hillary pushed a 5th grade plastic Reset Button that should have made Hillary and the Russians besties. That inane childish gesture and photo-op was from the most intelligent woman in the world, as her toadies call her. I cringed when I saw it.
