Sure; we have these issues because the ruling class has used money squeezed from “the people” to buy off a segment of the population to argue its agenda - with violence if necessary.
When the Russian and French people murdered their monarchs, you couldn’t convince them they’d done anything wrong; they’d had enough.
I think this will be very different. I don’t think Americans are going to need to do what the Russians or the French did.
