The Democrats skipped Ford, I guess, but every other Republican president in my lifetime has been attacked in this way. Eisenhower wasn’t touched, but Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Bush, Trump — all guilty of the high crime and misdemeanor of being not a Democrat.
What about when Ford pardoned Nixon? Didn’t they have a conniption then? I bet someone in the House called for impeachment.
