Norbert Röttgen, the chairman of the German parliaments foreign affairs committee, said in an interview on Thursday that although there has been lots of ideological rhetoric coming from the White House, President Donald Trumps new administration is lacking after 100 days.
There isnt any US foreign policy yet, he told German public broadcaster Deutschlandfunk in a radio interview. This is, of course, a factor that is disturbing in its own right.
He added that the Trump administration is still lacking concrete trade policies, but most crucially, there are personnel problems within the US State department. Theres still no sufficiently operational staff, said Röttgen, who is a member of Chancellor Angela Merkels ruling Christian Democrat party. [ ]
Although the Senate approval process for new State Department employees usually takes a while, the process this time is extremely delayed because Trump and his team were not prepared for this government transfer, the German lawmaker told Deutschlandfunk. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said he is planning to eliminate some 2,300 State Department jobs as part of his efforts to cut departments budget.

Have they written the check for their share of NATO yet? I do remember that’s part of the policy.
>> This is, of course, a factor that is disturbing in its own right.
Disturbing in its own Reich?
Not to condemn the good citizens of Germany, but as a whole, the country is out of its mind.
With respect to Europe, it’s the Nelson Muntz Doctrine.
We haven’t invaded Poland, so there’s that.
Besides, Germans are a bunch of deadbeats... said they would pay their share for NATO and you have to send bill collectors to their house.
They can’t be trusted.
Go ahead kraut, complain we don’t have a foreign policy. We still keep Enola Gay over in a museum...in flying condition.
They say maybe they will pay more in 10 years, lol, such b.s.
Listening to Rush today and he had some Harvard report that gave all the networks network and media negative stories on Trump. He mentioned in Germany their own government type NPR had 98 percent negative stories on President Trump.
Always good to have corroboration on who the enemies are.
With the rot spreading over there & the EU falling apart Trump looks like a threat. Why not help your Globalist friends stick in a knife.
In the meantime, Merkel adds 2,300,000 more 'refugees' requiring 230,000 more german govt employees. Sit down, Merkel. We have no intention of solving your problems. How's that for foreign policy?
HA!!
We can drop a MOAB on Munich? Play careless with your WMD toys and you will experience our lack of foreign policy, AGAIN.
Beneficial crises, those are. Other countries are doing what Merkel’s successors will eventually do, that being take away freedoms in exchange for “security”.
No U.S. foreign policy, and yet the world hasn’t imploded. Maybe we don’t need to be the world police.
Nobody else needs to be either, then. Especially the ones who want to be it the most.
