“I engaged in obscene communications with this teenager,” Mr. Weiner said, his voice high and shaky, and his body trembling. Those communications “included sharing explicit images and encouraging her to engage in sexually explicit conduct,” just as he had done with adult women, he said.

Mr. Weiner, 52, will have to register as a sex offender where he works and lives,

Federal prosecutors said in the plea agreement that a sentence in the range of 21 to 27 months would be “fair and appropriate.” The decision ultimately lies with Judge Loretta A. Preska of Federal District Court in Manhattan; sentencing is set for Sept. 8.

But Mr. Weiner quickly dissolved into tears as he read from a written statement when the judge asked that he describe what he had do.

The ONLY reason he is crying is he got caught. What he has is a mental illness, it can never be cured. I must have missed the part in the article where is said Huma was in court with him today?

Remember when Breitbart took him down? Link to follow

Federal Obscenity Charges

What is the constitutional basis of federal obscenity laws? I know of none. If I'm right, these laws and charges are illegal and should be handled by the appropriate state legislatures and courts.

WAY too much unconstitutional power has be given to the feds.

21-27 months? That’s it???
Should be 21-27 years, just like the former SS agent got.

I wonder if they are rushing to wrap up the Weiner trial, to try to get the laptop in evidence destroyed before the new Special Counsel gets around to subpoenaing it for Hillary’s emails.

What he has is a mental illness...

Nope, can't agree there.Depression, schizophrenia and autism are examples of "mental" illnesses...meaning biological or structural disorders of the brain. What Carlos Danger has is a moral "illness"...or,to put it more bluntly,*amorality*.

That is the best guilty plea I've ever seen from a politician. He hit all the points he needed to.

I pray he recovers and becomes an instrument to lead others to purity.

Ha. He’s a UniParty RAT....nough said. They’re all mentally deranged by liberalism. Some worse than others. They’re all insane, including this POS. He should have the book thrown at him....20 years minimum just like the ex-SS agent got.
A RAT POS in front of a RAT Judge In a RAT enclave.
What could go wrong???
He probably gets off with nothing....because he’s a RAT.
Our justice system is a joke. Lady Justice is no longer blind, she’s a RAT.

to get the laptop in evidence destroyed before the new Special Counsel gets around to subpoenaing it for Hillary’s emails. Ironic isn't it? Her Heinous started out interning for a committee trying to take down Tricky Dick Nixon and she may yet be taken down by another "Tricky Dick". Karma's a bitch. Discovery is her evil twin.

I do not care about his weiner. What about the Federal violation of him being in possession of classified information. This weiner thing is a distraction.

Larry the Cable guy put it best: “here’s this guy named Weiner texting photos of his weiner. I’m just glad his name wasn’t butthole.”

Multi-state crimes may trigger federal adjudication, but that adjudication would be subject to state law(s). I see no constitutional authorization for federal obscenity laws.

Yup, and notice that the feds are more inclined to enforce unconstitutional acts like federal obscenity laws, than acts based on valid, constitutional law like mishandling of federal classified information.
