Of course it was. Pity the men running the South at the time didn't know that. They all thought it was about slavery.
Being as the Democrat party is the party of slavery, then all references to Democrats should be removed from this country, starting with Mayor Landrieu himself. His father, Moon, has a statue and the Moonwalk erected in his honor. That should also be removed.
