when has it not worked? all files are kept encrypted and triple redundant. AWS alone has over 15 million servers distributed worldwide. anyone who thinks having your own hardware is more secure or more reliable is a couple years out of date.
just saying, sometimes new technology is actually a good thing.

Ok. I imagine the cloud is very reliable. I’d say the FreeRepublic database ought to be kept both in Robinson’s server and in the cloud.
A cloud problem would probably be the result of malice, not equipment malfunction.
