Publix might take some hit, but they don't really compete in that market. They aim for a higher end of the market. Folks shopping for price don't head for Publix.

I didn't mean that Publix was going to go under, but individual Winn-Dixies might close simply because they aren't as efficient as the Publix and can't go toe to toe if there is a price war. When Aldi came to Columbus, it DID force Publix and Winn-Dixie to be more competitive on pricing, even though their sandboxes are aren't exactly the same.
