NSA Director Uses «Russian Hacker Threat» to Gain Access to Voting Systems
Strategic Culture ^ | 13 May 2017 | Wayne MADSEN

Posted on 05/14/2017 7:37:31 PM PDT by Lorianne

In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) director Admiral Mike Rogers joined the chorus of other U.S. law enforcement and intelligence officials who are using Russia to leverage their own agencies into having a wider role in U.S. elections. In a statement to the committee on May 9, Rogers positioned NSA to oversee a wider role in conducting surveillance over elections, not only in the United States, but in other countries, including France and Britain.

After accusing Russia of conducting «election hacking» of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, while offering no proof to back up his allegations, Rogers proceeded to tell the committee and its reflexively anti-Russian chairman, John McCain, that NSA also warned France, Britain, and Germany of Russian election penetration and offered up the assistance of the American spy agency to the targeted countries. Of course, there was no mention that NSA, thanks to the revelations by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, has thoroughly penetrated the communications systems of France, Britain, and Germany and their political leadership.

Rogers stated, «We [NSA] had talked to our French counterparts prior to the public announcements of the events publicly attributed this past weekend and gave them a heads up. 'Look, we're watching the Russians. We're seeing them penetrate some of your infrastructure'». Rogers added, «We're doing similar things with our German counterparts, with our British counterparts, they have an upcoming election sequence». The NSA’s «Tailored Access Operations» branch is strongly believed to have a sub-group that specializes in foreign election tampering, not from a defensive position but as an offensive tactic in conducting clandestine «regime change» operations.

That’s the thing The Left DESPISES:

Elections.

It means you have to use logical dialogue again and again and again to get votes —VERY worky.

Rational, reasoned debate with The Left was always hard but now? It’s almost impossible. They just start screaming.

THIS is how they want to solve things:

By DOING AWAY with elections.

CUZ RUSSIA.

(which is the new “THE JEWS”. Just blame them)

The author is a Lyndon LaRouche cultist, publishes crap on their “Schiller Institute” website.
Associated with a bunch of other nutjobs just as bad as he is, such as the antisemitic “street preacher” Ray McGovern, same folks who used to feed Ted Kennedy disinformation.
They play both sides of the political aisle, feeding people what they most easily will believe because they WANT to believe it, along with a lot of little stuff they don’t realize they are being fed, making them more vulnerable to foreign propaganda.
Before getting in bed with Madsen and VIPS and their ilk, or biting on any bait they drag past you, you should read up on LaRouche.

He is; the author, Madsen, is a Lyndon LaRouche conspiracy groupie, used to spit venom at FreeRepublic back when they were in the tank with former Ambassador Joe Wilson and his super dooper deep cover wife Valerie.

The LaRouche cult is, at the moment, heavily pro-Putin; most of the Putin-loving faction that posts here are victims of their propaganda and frequently pass along LaRouche materials without even being aware of it.

Uh...No!

Some things are best left to old ways. Not everything is improved with technology. And, I don’t want ANY gubbmint entity ‘protecting’ my vote, by increased oversight and deeper engagement in the process.

The la Rouche cult were heavily represented at Tea Party rallies, too
I saw them there at the Kill the Bill rally
They were always featured in press coverage

Did that make the Tea Party unwitting tools? The left wing sure. made that same argument

If comenting that sometimes Russia is in the right , that sometimes the US and Russia have common interests and common enemies we ought to be building a relationship on , or that Russia sometimes is behaving rationally to a deliberately irrational strategy to provoke and challenge them, then I guess by your logic i am a “ Putin lover”

The end game will be the penetration of some voter roles, not actual votes. Documentation and records may or may not be affected. Thousands, if not millions of invalid voters on the roles, but they may have always been here from DNC standard operating procedures over the last 60 years.
