At least 10-12 shots were fired according to witnesses, and about two dozen shell casings were marked with yellow plastic at the scene.
Police said the officer was shot in the chest and was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in stable condition. Both officers have been officially discharged from the hospital. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel stopped by the hospital to visit with the officers before they were discharged.

Well past time to pacify the zone before entering.
If there are any “good” people in the zone, then they need to clear it first. Time to stop the tolerance of bad people.
Thankful the officers are ok. Must be party time at the Obama’s down the street, more shot cops. Meanwhile, either get the necessary force in there to clean out that nest of thugs or pull the cops out completely and let darwinism take over.
Chicago needs to decide whether it wants to live under the rule of law or gang law.
