Top Salvadoran officials are worried about deportations of their compatriots from the U.S., as they think the returnees will cause crime.
El Comercio wrote Thursday that El Salvador’s Minister of Defense David Munguia Payes told reporters, “We know that if there are massive deportations from the U.S., it will increase violence in the country.”
The worry from Salvadoran officials is due to the Trump administration’s focus on MS 13, a Salvadoran gang whose leadership still remains in the Central American nation. MS 13 gained strength in the 1990s after thousands of gang members were deported from the U.S.
The defense minister said that the deported illegal immigrants will cause tension between gangs. The Salvadoran government is weighing an initiative that would make deportees with criminal records check in monthly with police, according to El Comercio.

If their home country refuses to repatriate the criminals that are here illegally, send them to Gitmo and tell them they will be free when their country comes for them.

That makes no sense. We all know that illegals are productive workers. They are less likely to commit crimes than American citizens are. They are not on welfare. Why would Salvador not want such fine upstanding citizens returning to their own country. Surely the mainstream media would not lie to us.
I have been’ thinking the same about Mexico. Hundreds of ‘unemployed’ going aback to Mexico? And they have no way of handling them. Guess all of the countries feel entitled to get their ‘dregs’ into the U.S..

No we’ll have to take care of them down there. Maybe an uninhabited island in the Pacific, or better Asiatic Sea.
Well, they complained when we had a force down there doing the work they were not doing to clean the place up of commies.
I guess these Salvadoran migrants were all choir boys when they came to America but then were corrupted by Yanqui culture and are going back gang members and thugs.
It's been made plainly obvious in recent years by leftists here and elsewhere that the United States has no right to have borders,that everyone on earth who wishes to do so can come here to live...to vote...to claim every government benefit available to lawful residents.
