"""Trump threatens to cancel White House briefings because it is ‘not possible’ for his staff to speak with ‘perfect accuracy’""" President Trump threatened Friday morning to end White House press briefings, arguing that “it is not possible” for his staff to speak with “perfect accuracy” to the American public.

Trump's comments come after his description of his decision to fire FBI Director James B. Comey in an NBC News interview Thursday flatly contradicted the accounts provided earlier by White House officials, including Vice President Pence, exposing their explanations as misleading and in some cases false.

Do it. It can’t get any worse for him in the press. They are now even complaining about two scoops of ice cream.

Just jettison the whole thing.

Oh please please do it. That would put a lot of them out of a job. When something big happens hold a press conference and give them 10 minutes to get there before you begin.

Everyone should watch those briefings. Major Garret pontificates that the WH must give them information because they are the go between the WH and the American people. Meanwhile I’m watching him say that and wondering why do I need you in the mix?? I’m, WATCHING THE BRIEFING LIVE!

They are irrelevant.

Do it. The Leftist media is evil. They’re hell bent on destroying our President. Creative editing, misquoting, etc. is not editorializing, it’s FAKE NEWS. Leftist propaganda.

There was a time when press questions were submitted in writing and they were answered in writing.

The open discussions with the (mostly) hostile press are a drain on the energies of the administration. Small group interviews and written releases would be more beneficial. The press vultures honestly believe they can say and do whatever is the most inflammatory without consequence. Let there be consequences.

Maybe he can bully some sense into them but they should keep holding these. All of the cable networks pick these up live, fully, without interruption every day! Free means to get word out to that portion of the population that has cable on. There is a value. Plus, the media keep showing their bias, keep getting beat up daily. Will THEY ever learn?

I like this. Media goes around asking everyone they can about something, many who wouldnt have been in the loop anyway, then compare their answers and declare a coverup if any of them don’t match perfectly. Tell them “from now on, maybe we’ll just issue statements in writing, no video for your 24 hour news cycle from now one” and watch them stammer and scream in outrage. But the point is made. If the media wants to play games, Trump can change the rules.

The incessant badgering, OCD, asking the same tin foil hat conspiracy theory questions over and over, 2 minutes hate fests? Those are actually press briefings?

New’s opinion does not shape the Presidents policy making WHAT SO EVER.

Dealing with the new’s speculation is a waste of my President’s time and effort.

They can be informed of everything we do. After the fact. In printed form. They are FREE to do what you want with it.

The news media takes their authority from the 1st Ammendment while soaring under the grace and protection of patriots who have died fighting for the second. Anyone who wants the freedom to tell lies to control me can kiss my ass.

Journalists are SCUM.

I agree with Trump, albeit the press will put a negative spin on this. It is not possible for any press secretary, or anyone else speaking for the president, to know what he is doing has done or is thinking about doing on a 24/7 basis. They ask gotcha questions to some poor boob, he has to dance around like a puppet on a string as they bombard them with hypothetical matters and then look for minute differences between actions and their reports. The Huckabee babe’s comments the other day were an extreme example of this. Of course when the press is in full obsequious mode as it was when the brown bomber was president, the briefing was a walk in the park as they mostly followed the script.

OT: One time someone was asked what did obsequious mean. This was a suck up asking his boss what he meant by his calling him an obsequious person. The boss responded, ass kisser. I think that says it all about the MSM and the dems.

I have posting this after Trump won the election twice and after he became President. The elite mediots, who control BBC, ABCNNBCBS, Faux, the Ny/LA Slimes, WSJ, Compost, and LaRaza Slimes fail to realize: President Trump does not need them to speak to his 62+ million voters/us.

He Tweets us, sends his contributors emails and controls the White House digital system. He bypasses the left wing mediots, when he communicates directly with us.

So, neither President Trump, nor his 62+ million voters need nor do we want BBC, ABCNNBCBS, Faux, the Ny/LA Slime, WSJ, Compost, and LaRaza Times trying to tell us what our president is telling us. We know without their twisting and word games.

We don’t need the “old gotcha” press conferences. With the whining and lying liberal mediots attacking our president. We are tired of the mediots lying and telling us what to believe and how to vote! Ban them from the White House. Trump’s comments and statements are for his voters. We don’t need lying liberal mediots to tell us what he says to us. There is zero filtering, adjusting and lying to us when Trump talks to us directly!

Official Washington is being traumatized by the tweets of Donald Trump.

Trump speaking directly to the people via Twitter or the Whitehouse.com is causing a crisis among mediots, politicians, Never Trumpsters and lobbyists. They just don't know how to handle “Trump’s Twitter feed which traumatizes Washington and his enemies.
