Hopefully Kobach will get in touch with reality now that he heads an election fraud panel.
Illegal immigrants voting are an extremely small part, an insignificant part, of the election fraud that occurs.
Election fraud has never determined a presidential race, not even the swing of a single state’s electors.
Election fraud has determined a few Senate and Congressional races and many local races.
Voter_ID is just a small part of Election Fraud. The other, more significant parts need to be addressed.
Kobach needs to work closely with the DOJ to have the perpetrators of election fraud prosecuted. Of course, that means a) accepting and using the hard evidence frequently provided to the DOJ that has been ignored by both R and D DOJ in the past.
And b) assigning competent investigators to complete cases where the evidence complainants provide is good, but incomplete.
In short, this office should be about quiet, hard work. It should not be about grandstanding.
“Election fraud has never determined a presidential race, not even the swing of a single states electors.”
You don’t know that. There’s no way to measure it. All we can do (and should do) is identify and criminalize illegitimate voting in all of its various forms. I don’t care if it’s non-citizens, dead people, fictitious people, or people voting more than once.
Any improper voting, whatever form it takes, is destructive to the system and should not be tolerated.
I don’t get why you would want to minimize the negative effect of non-citizen voting or voter fraud in general.
