Ideally yes. But the LAST thing we need to do is give ANY power back to the RATS no matter how bad the RINOs are

Would to research but my recollection is that EO was based on the policy of selective enforcement and past court findings.

What parts are still maintained?

I thought Napolitano did a good job of explaining the elements of Obamacare that have not changed - namely:

The constitutional leg is the premise that the federal government has the lawful power to regulate the delivery of health care. This has not changed.

The legal leg is the premise that the federal government is obliged to provide health insurance to everyone in America. This has not changed.

The economic leg commands that everyone in the U.S. purchase and maintain health insurance. This has not changed.

The Orwellian leg says that every physician in the U.S. shall retain all patient records digitally and that federal bureaucrats shall have access to all those records. This has not changed.

Need to hold our noses and keep voting repub no matter what. Increase majorities in house and senate 2018.

I agree. Until we have a majority of legislators and SC who uphold the Constitution, we will continue to suffer lawlessness. In the mean time, we continue to fight the good fight through the ballot box; support for pro-Constitution groups and we resistance the enemy.

I agree about purchasing health care, but the first two existed before Obamacare.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Are you saying that you agree that everyone should be required by law to purchase health care insurance?

Also, what "two" are you referencing when you say the "first two existed before Obamacare?"

Thanks for the clarification.

Mark Steyn once said that the Republicans were like the European Conservatives - they never revoked any Socialist law, just claimed to “make it better”.

He sure hit the nail on the head with that one.

I agree with you that people shouldn’t be forced to buy it, but government was involved with healthcare before Obamacare, such as medicaid, prescription drugs, medicare. Trump can’t get rid of that with Obamacare repeal.

You are right that government has been involved in healthcare before Obama. It's also true that medicare and medicaid are a form of government administered socialized medicine. Social Security benefits are also a form of a government administered socialized annuity.

The question conservatives need to ask themselves is this, "Is there any benefit or room for government administered socialized anything and if so, what does that look like?"

The reality is that virtually all Americans qualify for and use Social Security and Medicare benefits. Would they be willing to give these benefits up for conservative principals? What do retirement benefits look like to the conservative? What does health care look like to the conservative? Does any level of socialism (SSA, Medicare) have a role in conservative thought/programs?

Trump and the House Republicans bought the Titanic as it was sinking, painted the rail, and now proudly call it their own. Tell the band to play some victorious music.

Trump and the House Republicans bought the Titanic as it was sinking ...

I believe you're right! Obamacare has been and continues to implode. Republicans should have let it die a miserable death and then rightly blame the Democrats who are solely responsible for creating and passing Obamacare legislation.

What were Trump and House Republicans thinking with their recent Obama-care endorsing legislation?
