Hundreds of African migrants have stormed the Spanish-Moroccan border, injuring guards and pouring into the streets of Melilla. The city, which has belonged to Spain since 1497, is one of two centuries-old settlements on the North African coast which belong to the European country. Their frontiers with Morocco represent the European Union’s only land borders with an African nation.

In the early hours of 9 May an estimated 300 illegal migrants, who travelled to Morocco with Europe as their ultimate objective, launched a sustained assault on Melilla’s boundary fences. The Spanish interior ministry reports that three guards were hospitalised after the intruders bombarded them with missiles.
Around a hundred migrants broke through the city’s defences successfully, rampaging through the streets and turning cartwheels in celebration. They could not be immediately ejected due to EU rules which require the authorities to let them lodge asylum applications on reaching Spanish soil.

No sense of survival left in the EU. These are dangerous invaders and should have been shot at the border the minute the breached the fence.
If they are starving it is their own damn fault. And it is their own problem.

Fly them to Brussels. Put them on buses and drive them directly to EU headquarters. Let them out.

Borders should include armed soldiers - one M2 would have ended this border incursion / invasion. A mine field would have stopped it without any action at all, except replacing a few of the mines afterword.
I agree, but they will NEVER start shooting. They would much rather commit national suicide, than shoot. And I believe they will. With each passing day, I am becoming more and more convinced that there is NO HOPE for Western Europe.
Spain doesn’t have adequate police back up, or any military border guards? They need to get serious now, before another Calais is the result. Then there is Italy, and the similar troubles they’re now having. The infection spreads.
And right now, Italy and Ireland are sending ships to pick them up.
Looks like spain is going to be conquered by the muslims again!
The guards were not armed? Why let an invading force through your border? Warn, then, shoot to kill.
