Here is what I just posted on another thread:
I would argue that those of us who do not want to see the Trump momentum derailed adopt the most pragmatic response to both the predictable hand-wringing of anti-Trump Republicans & the crocodile tears of the forked tongue Democrats like Chuck Schumer, over the firing of Director Comey.
The distracting hoopla, being orchestrated in major part by Trump haters in the mass media, is absolutely inconsistent with very crucial efforts to defang the North Korean Government, before something happens that could lead to literally millions of deaths, both in South Korea & Japan, as well as--God Help us!--from an attack on the American Grid.
What is significant in this juxtaposition of the hoopla over the Comey firing & the Korean situation is this. Donald Trump in one month has accomplished infinitely more in addressing the North Korean threat, than his three predecessors in 24 years! Please let that soak in. Consider the level of the Chinese involvement on our side as the evidence.
What variety of idiot or self-promoter wants to undermine Donald Trump's influence overseas, at this moment in history, by stirring up a fire-storm over the firing of an office-holder, whose conflicting actions have been widely criticized, in recent months, on both sides of the political aisle? Let us not play the media game. Let us focus on what this half-cocked firestorm is undermining, and set these disgusting opportunists, with a highly destructive agenda, back on their heels.

Look for the talk radio folks to RUN with this.
Trump has to be made to realize that it is all connected. If he gives up ground here, and then there (think immigration control, then Obamacare repeal, then tax reform, then the wall), then pretty soon he will run out of battlegrounds to make a stand on.
If Trump appears to be weakened by losses to his own party at home, then our enemies in Iran and North Korea won't take his threats seriously because they will think they can outlast him by waiting for his party to undermine and remove him before too long.
This is why Trump must stand his ground here, and now.
