Having travelled to Milan in a private jet, Obama settled into a presidential suite at the Park Hyatt hotel, costing roughly €8,400 a night. Meanwhile, his entourage of security occupied two separate floors across the hotel, while his security detail required a convoy of 14 cars, a helicopter, and 300 extra police.
The event, which attracted 3500 people paying €850 a ticket, raised nearly €3 million, all of which will go to the Obama Foundation dedicated to “renewal and global progress.”
“When it comes to climate change, the hour is almost upon us,” Obama told the summit, urging the world to “set aside our parochial differences” to create a better planet for the world’s children.

Federal law requires tax-exempt entities like the Barack Obama Foundation and the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation to stick closely to their IRS-approved missions. For former chief executives, that mission has been building and operating libraries to house their official papers for posterity.
In a relatively unnoticed series of steps during the first six-years of its existence, the Clintons converted their foundation from focusing solely on the presidential library in Little Rock, Ark., to a $2 billion globe-trotting political influence-peddling machine. Obama has always lived on someone else’s $$ with the exception of some part time professorship...Obama had the advantage of learning at the feet of thieving and manipulating masters...Hillary and Bill. Socialism is never what it seems nor was/is Barack H. Obama or for that matter Mrs. Obama, both are just as greedy as their predecessors are.
Right after leaving office, the Obamas took a 90 day vacation multimillion dollar vacation. At least this was not on the taxpayer dime.
Then a speech he got $400,000 for. Now this multimillion trip to Italy.

I wouldn't provide even one guard for an outhouse well past its prime and in desperate need of cleaning. Obama is worth far less than a decrepit porta-potty, so I cannot imagine him deserving any security at all.
Obama “foundation” - translation: Obama political network with the “foundation” generating private fundraising personally for Obama, Inc. to help keep his political staff employed.

I wouldn’t say that the Clinton Foundation is over and done. But, I have to give Obama his due, he’s a fast learner for sure.

We do. Former Presidents get 1 million a year for security and travel expenses and Former ladies get 500K.
Obama signed a law reinstating life-time SS protection for Former Presidents in 2013. It was formerly for 10 years.
