More taxes only give the politicians more money to divert to their pet projects. Colorado raised automotive “fees” to pay for roads but decided to use the money for bicycle paths. The Gas taxes, road taxes and such go to the general funds so they can be diverted to whatever the liberals want.
Why not just make a law that Gas and Road taxes be put in a road fund to fix roads not the general funds.
We do not need more taxes, we need honest politicians
More tax generally seems to mean a larger slush fund for somebody. Look at all the cases where this has happened. When a new tax or an increase is proposed & it doesn’t happen,then bureaucrats cry about having to cut essential services...and that seems to be the first thing they look at. The working people have to live within their means;the government should be forced to do the same.
