There have been plenty of calls to investigate Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, for her role in Hillary’s email scandal. None of those calls, for reasons that ought to be obvious, have come from people within the Democrat Party.
That just changed, however — and it could have massive implications for both Abedin and her employer.
In an interview on MSNBC on Thursday, Connecticut Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal said a special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate Abedin’s handling of confidential material. Blumenthal’s comments came one day after FBI Director James Comey revealed during congressional testimony that Abedin may have illegally forwarded emails off of Clinton’s server to her husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner.
“Somehow, her emails were being forwarded to Anthony Weiner, including classified information,” Comey said during testimony, according to Fox News. “His then-spouse, Huma Abedin, appears to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to him for him to print out for her, so she could deliver them to the secretary of state.”
And that could be a criminal matter, Blumenthal told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program.
“If there was classified information and it was improperly passed to a person unauthorized to receive it, yes, naturally it’s a crime,” Blumenthal said. “Without knowing what the intentions were and so forth, there is potentially a prosecutable crime.”
Among the revelations in the latest email dump were “repeated instances of Clinton’s detailed daily schedules being sent to top Clinton Foundation officials at unsecured email addresses.”
The team on “Fox News Specialists” said Blumenthal’s remarks could be bad news for Abedin.
It’s become obvious that Abedin was playing as fast and loose with the rules as her boss was.
Now, even the Democrats are turning on her for it.

What’s Blumenthal up to? Seems he’s trying to diminish Hillary. Why?
He’s a real POS, but every once in a while, he did do a couple of GOOD things, in Ct., so hopefully he will stick to his guns over this VERY GOOD stance.

Every once in while ( it's rare, but I've personally seen it ), Blumenthal comes up with the correct position on something and works to set things straight. This is one of the very RARE occurrences; though he left out the main culprit....Hillary.
WHY?? Because Hillary is like FATAL ATTRACTION, and for decades keeps bobbing up! Get Huma, and maybe you get HRC.
Methinks even Democrats have had quite enough of both.
Sounds like Huma gets to take the fall. WHAT? Surely we can’t expect Hillary to get her hands dirty! She’s “special”. Maybe they’ll throw us a few bones, and hope we’ll be satisfied.

No...Hillary would NEVER okay that; you need to rethink your supposition.
He wants a special prosecutor in order to take the matter out of the hands of the Trump/Sessions Justice Department.
No doubt the idea by the Dems is that they would pressure the Trump administration to appoint someone like Sally Yates as an “independent” prosecutor.
It’s gaslighting. There is no conflict of interest on the part of the Trump/Sessions Justice Department in investigating Huma Abedin or, for that matter, Hillary Clinton.
Huma never worked for Trump or Sessions. She is not related to them or married to one of their relatives. There is no conflict of interest.
However, there WAS a conflict of interest in the Obama administration in having the Obama/Lynch Justice Department investigate Hillary and her aides. Hillary was Obama’s Secretary of State and Obama campaigned for her.
Hillary’s husband appointed Lynch to her initial position as US Attorney. Hillary said she would probably continue to have Lynch be her Attorney General. And of course, Hillary’s husband met privately with Lynch during the investigation.
There should have been a special counsel during the Obama Administration independent of Obama/Clinton/Lynch connections in order to investigate Hillary, Huma and the rest of her crew.
Hillary has made her intentions known. she wants to run again in 4 years. she still controls much of the party. this is an attempt by party insiders to maneuver Hillary out of running again. inside the democratic party there is a belief that the reason hiller lost was that she was just a bad candidate when it comes to wining non hardcore liberal democrats. at this time in private most of those who are looking to the future know that all the noise by Hillary supporters is actually hurting the party. I am sure that going after Huma has more to do with chipping at Hillary’s control of the party.

Huma is still on Hitlery’s payroll. Huma tried to go to work for the fashion industry (a natural progression, it would seem < /sarc >) but Hitlery called her back home to Mama.
He and Biden have not been great friends in the past, and Biden is making some serious noises like he is running. There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary!® is going to run again, as stupid as that would appear. Blumenthal has done a lot of stuff with Elizabeth Warren in the past. Not just legislation, but joint fundraising as well.
He is working as somebody's cat's paw who can't afford to reveal himself/herself, but make no mistake: neither he, nor any Democrat pol is motivated by altruism or justice. If they were interested in that, they could have vampire-staked the Clinton's ages ago, instead of carrying their water all these years.
Whomever is behind him is moving now because the perception is that it's time to finish off the Clintons once and for all ... and at the lowest possible cost.

Hillary showed contempt for white working class men...
then extended that hatred to all white men...
Then to women who were married...
to “those” types of men.
And finally Hillary extended her hatred to all traditional Americans - - men, women and children - - ‘the deplorables’.
And she did all of this while lying to the American people, selling access and gaming the system. If the demcrat party doesn’t slap the witch on the wrist the groups she kicked in the groin won’t come back to the Democrat Party. At which point the party is dead.
