According to published reports, someone was eavesdropping, and recording, the conversations of Michael Flynn, while Sally Yates was at the Department of Justice. Sally Yates knew about this eavesdropping, listened in herself (Pellicano-style for those who remember the infamous LA cases), and reported what she heard to others.
For Yates to have such access means she herself must have been involved in authorizing its disclosure to political appointees, since she herself is such a political appointee. What justification was there for an Obama appointee to be spying on the conversations of a future Trump appointee?

How is it that the Asst. Attorney General knows, who Flynn is talking to? Did the FBI tell her and if so why?

Remember how polished Loretta Lynch was in her confirmation hearing? She came off as someone you would trust to take care of your firstborn... What an act she put on. She really had to work on that delivery - so smooth!!!
I confess I didn’t follow Chunky Lunch Lynch in her hearings, but I am aware she was “admired” in her old perch, in NYC. You’re right that as a national “figger”, she turned out to be a Holder styled lyncher of law and order, the same as Holder.
This Yates gal is now being vaulted to national prominence by her “classy” performance today, and by all the cables, FOX included. Krauthammer suggests that she can pick a state and run for office anywhere thanks to these ridiculous hearings that she commanded this afternoon. Bad news. Very bad news.
I consider myself lucky that I had other things to do yesterday and missed another performance of someone being grilled - to no avail, I guess - and did not even tune in to the news last night. Lucky me.....

Out of curiosity and I’m a fool for punishment, I’m going to look for some video of the hearing. I don’t care how old one gets to be, one just never learns!!!
We are mostly, as a rule, all political animals around here so knowing what’s going on politically is the true norm.
Yates in my opinion, Leftist or not, comported herself very well. Period. For the Democrats that fact has to be thrilling, given they invested in a washed up hag, who reduced herself to meaningless drivel in her performance as a candidate.
Krauthammer said, “she can pick a state and run for office and win”. He shared my opinion of her performance, compared to that of the current crop of screaming radicals the Dems have to choose from. They have no bench!
