Minister of Science and Technology Ophir Akunis (Likud) relates to US President Donald Trump's attempts to renew the political process between Israel and the Arabs, noting that the Arabs have always been opposed to peace, stressing that he strongly opposes the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state.
In an interview with Arutz Sheva from the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York, Akunis said that Israel would not agree to a construction freeze in Judea and Samaria if the PA demanded it as a condition for starting negotiations.
"We will not agree to a building freeze, as long as it depends on me," Akunis said. "The last freeze in 2010 launched by President Obama was a grave mistake. It did not bring negotiations closer, it distanced them; it did not bring the Palestinians closer to peace, but kept them from peace."

The idea of a Palestinian state has already stuck to us, is there a chance to convince the world otherwise?
"In the first place we did not have to go into this, that was the initial mistake. Now we have to convince the world, after seeing what is happening in Syria, Iran, and Iraq, does the Middle East need another terrorist state? Of course, if this is at the expense of parts of the Jewish People's homeland, the answer is no," Minister Akunis stressed. "This is what I have said consistently since the Bar-Ilan speech and even before."

They can not make deals with people that want their destruction and we can’t make deals with the liars either.

Palestine is a geographic term used by the Romans, based on the name of an extinct race - the Philistines - who most certainly were NOT Arabs. There is no nation state called Palestine.
Time and time again, the Israelis have desperately attempted to reach some kind of agreement with the collection of Arab thugs calling themselves “Palestinians”. Time and time again the Palestinians have stated that only the total destruction of Israel and deaths of every citizens of that state will satisfy them - and acted upon it.
The insane lunatic Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia should put their action where their mouths are and accept ALL of these idiots into their own country as citizens in return for peace in the region. Sure, it might add to the welfare rolls of the “Kingdom”, already supporting masses of lazy primitive Bedouins, but if they have to spend more money on the Palestinians, maybe they will have less to waste on Wahhabi Imams, Mosques and madrasahs in the west.
The PLO was already a terror state until around 1982, when they were forced to flee Lebanon after destroying it. They still remained a Soviet protege until the end of the Soviet Union. Then suddenly they just had to head the Palestinian enterprise, without so much as asking the Palestinians themselves. We’ve had more than 30 years of no Palestinian state, or end to the PLO’s influence in Judah and Samaria for failing to earn its keep. The PA is the problem, not the solution. The Jewish “settlements” and the “occupation” are the solution, not the problem. Annex today. Boot out the PA and Hamas yesterday at the latest.
