Susan Collins: House GOP made ‘mistake’ in defunding Planned Parenthood

I was on a screed a few years back, and it was that Mitch McConnell did nothing to pick up seats of dead Senators ( Lautenberg ) and those in trouble ( Menandez ), and a few others that were opportunities to give him, that would have given him the margins he needs in a time like this.

I called it over a week ago Collins and Murkowski defect, Pence breaks the tie.

Gosh I wish Todd Palin would run against Murkowski, with Trumps victory it is not out of the question for a blue collar guy like Todd to run and win...

Republicans in both the House and the Senate should have had a finely detailed bill all ready to go the day President Trump was sworn in.

They knew this day was coming sooner or later but for the last 7 years they have been sitting on their fat asses, letting Barack Obama make fools of them, and dong nothing constructive.

After Barack Obama, senators are the most worthless, overpaid, least productive, bloviating, strutting peacocks imaginable.

And members of the house are working hard to keep up with them.

Conservatives have always been a wing of the GOP.

The GOP was never a political party that was fully conservative, ever.

On their own, I don't think a "conservative" political party can win in this country.

The people who voted for Trump were not just conservatives but moderates and disaffected blue-collar democRATS.

If it weren't so, then Cruz would have won the nomination and the election as the most conservative of all the GOP candidates. But he faired badly in the primaries.

Contrary to what Planned Parenthood says publicly and what the liberal democRATS repeat constantly, PP does NOT provide cancer screenings, mammograms, prenatal care, women's health care, etc.

PP provides only one service to women. Family unplanning in the form of abortions on demand.

Call any PP clinic and ask for any other women's health services and they will tell you they do not provide them. It is a myth that they serve the community by providing health care for poor and disadvantaged women. They do not.
