I need to pray for my wife, family, siblings, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, employers, and those in authority over me. Miley’s dad can pray for her.

The Almighty isn't quite so deaf that he needs your orisons.

Like all wannabes, supposed “stars” who have been or are seeking notoriety, acting out in bizarre ways, making outrageous statements and attempting to gain attention in anyway they can, there you have Miley Cyrus. They do it for attention and to keep their names in your face so you will NOT forget about them. They are phony people living in a fantasy world, supported by the suckers (their fans) that give them the attention not to mention lots of money.

God knows the needs of everyone, including Miley Cyrus.

HE wants us to pray for other people and situations for OUR sake. Sometimes that prayer is a simple “Bless them, Lord”. Sometimes it is more like, “If it be your will, Lord, knock some sense into that one’s noggin!”

We need to realize that everyone around us has some sort of relationship to God. Some good and some in need. And we are commanded to be conformed to the image of Jesus, who came to seek and save the lost.

BTW, I can understand Michael Brown’s reason for this Open Letter. I felt the same way after viewing Ashley Judd’s unhinged rant. “Dat chile needs some SERIOUS help, doncha know it!”

“You will be witnesses to me, not only in Jerusalem, not only throughout Judea, not only in Samaria, but to the very ends of the earth!” Acts 1:8

Most of us do not have the opportunity to go to Hollywood, Vegas , NYC or DC, let alone to talk with the “Rich & Famous” there who are in great need of the Savior. But we can pray for them.
