I was wondering if the meeting with Macri of Argentina was to send a message to Maduro. Then I was thinking, after meeting with G-8, his secretary is scheduling presidents alphabetically: Argentina, Australia, etc.

The Cubans are in Venezuela acting as security for Maduro. Maduro is not going to be able to pay them off and some of the Cuban security is going back to Cuba. They don't work for free!
This was expected some time ago but Maduro was able to pay the Cubans off and now Maduro is on his last legs literally!!! Hopefully, the Venezuelan folks who really have endured misery will have their justice soon.

If there are serious military defections then the end is nigh. There may or may not be massive bloodshed but Maduro’s rule is at an end. Either he and his coterie will flee or the generals, or the Lieutenants, will kill him and proclaim a new Republic. It doesn’t mean the end of dictatorship, necessarily but likely replacement by an authoritarian cabal like Latin America has had many of.
