Police shot and killed a 15-year-old student Saturday after he pointed a BB gun at them in a high school parking lot, authorities said.
The Torrey Pines High School student called 911 shortly before 3:30 a.m. to ask officers to check on the welfare of an unarmed boy in front of the school, according to a police statement.
He didn't name the boy, but investigators later determined he was referring to himself, police said.

My thoughts too. No one in their right mind pulls any kind of gun pointing it at police walking toward them and ignoring orders to drop the gun

Why and how does a 15 yr old know so much about the world to even know about suicide by cops...why? How does he and his family get so far from God to allow this to happen?

If he refused to put it down after being told to do so, and he continued to advance toward police, then the police were justified in shooting him.
Death by stupidity. Generational.
But he's dead!! He isn't going to get any older. And it isn't going to ruin his future.
Acting crazy at 3:30 AM? The autopsy on this boy will more than likely reveal he was on drugs at the time of his death. My best guess would be Methamphetamine.
The gene pool has been spared from further contamination.
There are times and scenarios where the police are going to have to practice backing off, allowing the scene to play out without their usual gunfire, and at a distance that allows observation without participation. It can be done. When bullets fly the solution is usually final, but does it have to be?
