When you have a jar broken into a million pieces and you try to put it back together it is not going to look as good as it did originally. The Democrat Party purposely broke the insurance industry through Marxist mandates since they knew better than the free market and hate capitalism. They made sure to put every liberal wish list item and believed if you could make the yout and rich pay for it, the plan would work since they are all so much smarter than those insurance actuaries. What they were really attempting was the destruction another targeted industry and the installation of Gummit hospitals where they decide who lives and dies and what you have to agree to for survival.
Two actuaries were out hunting rabbits. As they were sitting and talking a jackrabbit runs across an opening and the first one shoots hitting just below him. A bit later a second one streaks across the opening and he hits just above it. They both start jumping up and down shouting, “We hit it, we hit it!” Actuary jokes are few and far between, but this is no laughing matter or one we can play politics. No matter what the plan is nobody is going to like it since we are trying to make a broken glass to hold water. The question is how do you make insurance affordable for someone who is using millions of dollars’ worth of healthcare a year? Do you cover them or let them die? You cover them.
The idea of insurance was invented by Ben Franklin to share the risk of rebuilding a house if it burned down and then spread to other risks including life and health. The hardest to insure is health since trying to spread the risk among healthy people to cover the unhealthy and aged is nearly impossible. You have to have enough young men whose only real risk is accident which is a low cost use to pay for the birthing women and elderly who use it more frequently and are more costly. Mostly you have to pay for the lawyers who leach onto the healthcare industry. The idea is to entice young men who do not use doctors to pay for something they hope they never need when they would rather spend their hard earned dollars on a fast Vette and a Brunette.
The Marxist solution as always is Central Planning in the model of their first love, Russia. They want Moscow on the Potomac to replace the insurance industry and nationalize all the hospitals. Once this is done you will have to have every doctor and medical care approved by the State and you become its slave. They can then develop a matrix which says who does and does not receive their heart surgery or cancer treatments based on their criteria deciding literally who lives and dies.
You just have to hope a regime as corrupt as Odumbo does not take power and slip your Party affiliation into that matrix and make their decisions on those criteria as they apparently did for who gets spied on by the NSA.
Even they are not sick enough to affect elections through life and death decisions, no really.
According to Alexandr Sotzhenitsyn this is exactly how the Soviet system worked. They had Party member hospitals and the rest of the Soviet Union clinics.
Neither of them received American type medical coverage, but Party members had as good a care as was possible and non-Party citizens which was the remaining ninety percent received substandard care where you brought your own sheets and had family members bring you food until you were released to die at home with a handful of pills. This is very similar to the Blue Pill Barak Hussain talked about for the ninety year old grandmother needing heart surgery. How can some bureaucrat a thousand miles away decide who gets heart surgery and who does not? This is a doctor’s decision for his patient who he has sworn to keep on the voter rolls..er alive.
This is their goal to make our healthcare just as the substandard healthcare of their Marxist Motherland. President Trump and the Repubs scored an important victory to stop this takeover. It is not the plan most of Trump’s supporters wanted or the plan it will eventually become, but it is the first step. The most important piece of this bill is the ability of states to walk away from O-care and let them experiment on their own plans.
This is the first step of being able to allow the market to invent plans to cover the uninsurable. They now have high risk pools they are inventing while the gummit subsidizes them to start which eventually can walk away from and let the insurance industry fund the pools as they figure out how to make them marketable. In a transit society these are the toughest ones to insure.
Of course Hollywierd is pushing the Obama plan as the greatest thing since Social Security. Never mind none of them are paying $15K a year with $5K deductibles, they have group insurances with very low premiums and co-pays. Jimmy Kimmel gets up and pretends he is a regular person and his newborn has a heart defect that happens to hundreds of babies per day and then used his baby as a club to beat up President Trump’s plan.
He overstated the issue as he in no way was at risk of having to pay for the half million dollar surgery, although he should have volunteered to pay it so someone else could have it done for their kid. He makes twenty million a year so it was hardly a burden most Americans face. His son was never in risk of not having coverage since he is covered under Kimmel’s policy at birth and the defect will be insurable in five to ten years if no complications which is normally the case.
If Kimmel was something other than a political hack he would have simply thanked the doctors, nurses, hospital and whichever pagan god he worships and left the Obama speech out of it, but like all Democrats he had to let us know he is superior and had to lecture America and use his newborn son as a baseball bat.
Nobody should like the new plan and will not. One of the important pieces it does have is a medical expense savings plan which dollars invested get tax offsets. These plans can be saved like an IRA and you can grow them throughout your life making it attractive to young men and women. This leads to more and more self-insurance which is the goal for market based care. It lowers the claims processed which is a large expense for the industry and makes the user more accountable for their own care and forces competition into the health industry.
This is a Yuge victory for President Trump and the Repubs. If he can push this past McCain then the unraveling of MarxCare can begin without the pain and suffering which is happening now and far worse coming. Most self insured over fifty are seriously considering dropping their coverage and risking a cataclysmic disease rather than paying ridiculous premiums. This plan begins the process of buying bare bone coverage to cover that onetime event while taking care of the minor surgeries through the savings plan.
This bill is a giant first step of slowing the momentum of the Titanic and hopefully missing the iceberg. If nothing else it is an attempt to help Americans hurting from the reckless attempt by the Dems to fundamentally destroy our insurance system. They stopped the possibility for healthcare to be used as a tool to enslave Jimmy Kimmel and force him to say what they want for approval to save his son’s life.

The longer I live the more I think health care is mostly a science project for destructive lifestyle choices.
They're all relaxed and know their stuff. Heard Mulvaney the other day...very impressed.
The Dems, on the other hand, sound like they're reading from a book....an old book. They're stiff as a board.

I believe Trump is definitely trying to come up with the best health care plan he possibly can.
He has probably realized by now that you can't do it all at once it has to be done incrementally.
Take tort reform,a must for health reform. Without getting the greedy lawyers in line little will matter. As long as doctors are faced with paying 200k per year for mal-practice insurance for example just so some crooked lawyer can make ten million per year health care will always be screwed.
Intelligent limits need to be placed on each and every medical law suit. Also it should be much harder to sue than it is now. The threshold needs to be bumped in favor of the the doctor not the lawyer. And after that it needs to be much easier to weed out bad doctors.
If you want to get there it won't be easy you will have the hard left and the lawyers fighting you all the way. But, it's doable. Donald Trump is the type of Potus who can do it.
Tort reform is hardly the only pitfall in reforming health care. Buying insurance anywhere to how to pay for the broke people to what to do about the VA and on and on the problems are endless.
Give someone like Donald Trump enough time and he will solve it all.
It just won't happen in 100 or even 200 days,we need to be patient.

So there’s been a lot of gabbing about Fox News Network, that the network is being dismantled and will transform into some kind of CNN clone.
They went after Bill O’Reilly with a vengeance. I personally think it was time for Bill to go. He’s been around 20 years, he changes with the wind….but be that as it may, could this be the beginning of the overhaul of the news network that so angers the liberals?
Now there’s talk of removing Hannity, which would be really dumb as I see it.
They need to get Shepherd Smith outta there. I’d be real cool with that. And somebody please tell me Geraldo Rivera’s claim to fame other than Al Capone’s vaults.
But they fired the president of Fox this past Friday and who knows what else they’re up to?
Hey, they gave Tucker Carlson his own show and it soars in the ratings. Tucker is hardly a friend of liberals.
If it is true that Fox is allowing buyers and dealers take apart their network…..another network will come and take its place.
Because millions watch Fox news and they are just not as powerful as our numbers.

Wow, I am hearing so many sides of the story I don’t know who is lying.
Chuck Schumer said on Fox News Sunday that the mortgage interest deduction is NOT in the new tax plan.
President Trump says oh yes it is.
Mulvaney says there is money in the budget to begin the border wall.
Everybody else says there is not.
We do hear that much more money was appropriated for the military without that silly match to social issues.
Nobody mentions this because this is a good thing.
Planned Parenthood was NOT defunded that young ghetto youth can get their birth control and abortions paid for by the gubmint….this is a gubmint job, no?
Fauxcohontas is out and about declaring that Planned Parenthood gives mammograms and women’s health care.
They do no such thing.
They provide birth control and abortions for ghetto youth, period.
And no money for them was ended.
The budget is a mess and frankly I am getting impatient.
Also for the past couple of days all I been hearing is that the repeal of Obamacare, with a replacement, is “almost” done.
With so many lies floating about, I do not believe.
For the past eight years the GOPe has known about Obamacare. They couldn’t have had a working plan wrapped up and ready to go when a Republican beat Hillary?
I am not a happy camper today.
We’ll see if someone of those elitist snobs on the Republican side could do their job.
Why yes I did watch the congressional hearing of FBI director of Comey.
Mostly he said he could not answer the question as it is under investigation.
“Mr. Comey, did you know it is going to rain tomorrow?” a congress critter asked.
“I cannot answer that question as the FBI is investigating this,” was his answer.
Well yeah I make up the above but it was all day like this.
By me, nothing new was revealed.
I did see the interview of Hillary recently and still she blames the Russians and the FBI for her loss.
She says she is now part of the resistance and I want to smack this nothing-burger woman to the moon.
What freaking “resistance”? If your side doesn’t win you’re allowed to “resist”? As in firebombing businesses, blocking traffic and preventing speakers from coming to your college?
Nobody’s is impressed by Hillary. If she had any pride at all, she’d go away.
We don’t want her to go away mad. We just want her to go away.
And how about that alleged comedian Steve Colbert?
His little rant was not clever, funny or glib. He sounded like a spoiled brat.
I remember Colbert was on the Bill O’Reilly show and it wasn’t a half bad interview. But all of a sudden Colbert asserts that Fox cable viewers have been tested and everyone knows the general IQ of that subset is very low.
O’Reilly took Colbert on and denied any such claim. Come on, you go guest on a network and you call all their viewers dumbbells?
And Colbert’s mad at Trump for storming out on John Dickerson and calling that show Deface the Nation?
I predict Colbert goes downhill quick.

Married people will have a standard deduct of over $24K while myself, a single person, would have $12K in an increased standard deduction.
This doubling of the standard deduction will handily make up for any deductions no longer allowed.
And bear in mind that the home interest deduct, charitable deducts and retirement savings will all remain deductible no matter how much Chuck Schumer gets it wrong.

Obamacare finally repealed!
I tell you it’s a good thing President Trump managed to get Obamacare repealed. He didn’t give up, he suffered the slings, he got it done!
As I understand it, and folks I been listening, the new health care bill will NOT have a penalty if one does not purchase health care.
That was a damn dumb idea. Force a penalty upon them by the IRS, attach their wages, sell their cars and boom. When they get sick, use medicaid to pay their bills.
Now, if a citizen with no health insurance gets ill then boom, they get medicaid to pay their bills.
Heh.
What the hell with a penalty that they can’t afford and then the gubmint must help anyway?
There is also a lot of room for individual states to maneuver. If a state wants to set up a pool for pre-existing conditions, no prob. Get the state legislators on it, let the affected citizens have their say, and do what needs to be done.
Best to have those elected and close to you than have faceless bureaucrats in D.C. coming up with impractical rules.
I say kudos to President Trump. I’d been very disconsolate of late, shrugging and believing that the elite of this country won, that we will do it THEIR way, that if we don’t they have their ways to punish us.
Heh. And former President Obama…what a damn slap in the face he gets from this and he well deserves it.
That Affordable Health Care Act was horrible and even the dumb Democrats knew it.
Saturday-date-Daily Update-5/6/17
I have been listening to every pundit on the planet as regards this “replaced” health care plan and every second it changes.
Mark Levin, who I listen to nightly just for a nasty point of view, is carrying on like a nutjob over the health law as passed by the house.
Mark had a caller phone in, an electrician he said he was. He had no health insurance because, ahem, he couldn’t afford it.
Mark launched into a rant to this guy who seems to have lost all pride and wants us out here in the public to pay for his health care should he get cancer.
I wanted so bad to bash Mark. Not that he was wrong. This electrician fellow was, indeed, a person with no pride and little wit.
But here’s the thing, here’s where Mark Levin and others of his thinking are wrong.
If that electrician should get cancer, are we really going to deny his care?
THAT’S THE PROBLEM! We as a society will provide care for the sick. We won’t let them sit and suffer until death relieves them.
The goodness and greatness of America is such that we do not ignore the suffering. Oh maybe they don’t get private rooms and TV’s to watch.
But we are just NOT going to tell the ill to go away, that they should have bought health insurance.
There’s also discussion of having a single payer health care and I just don’t know what President Trump was thinking with compliments on wonderful national health care given to Belgium and Australia.
I am to understand that Americans will no longer be penalized if they do not have health insurance. This is why God made Medicaid, so goes the mantra.
I have yet to hear about this allowance of health care insurers to sell their plans across state lines. We got fifty fiefdoms out here in la-la land with Secretaries of health in charge of our health and THEY decide whose health insurance we can buy.
At any rate, it’s a start. And I don’t think it’s going to die. We’ve come too damn far. The lilly GOPe snowflakes need a new fear installed in them besides shutting down the gubmint.
They need to start fearing the voters who elect them.

The insurance pool is a big pile of money, and VERY easy to get a big piece of it.
Health care is a complicated product, and few people bother to understand the options or have the moxie to stand up to "doctor's orders."
Supposedly, the combined cost of medical malpractice and "defensive medicine" is 10% of the total health care economy (wikipedia), but you can rest assured that medical professionals want as much for their industry to grow, as does any other industry. More customers, more procedures, etc. The usual customer/maker sort of balance does not exist in this industry.
