On his nationally syndicated radio talk show Thursday, host Mark Levin suggested that the biggest news yesterday was not about Obamacare but was instead the fact that Texas joined the Convention of the States movement, and this is going to be an earthquake.
You wanna hear the biggest news today, the very biggest news today? asked Levin. The Texas House just passed Article V Convention of States resolution. The Senate already passed it. So, Texas is state number 11, state number 11 out of 34 needed. ...
I am telling you, this is going to be an earthquake as we get closer and closer to this, Levin stated later in the program.

“But I want to congratulate The Convention of States organization, Mark Meckler, Mike Farris, Tom Coburn and their folks. I want to congratulate Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Patrick and the conservatives in the Senate and the House in Texas,” said Levin.
GOOD. Let the earth rumble. DC needs an enema, stat!
Do we really know that they wouldn't promote the Democratic and Globalist agenda in a Convention of the States?
While I’m fully in support of an Article V convention and see this as a positive thing, Levin calling something an earthquake doesnt make it so.
all the house did was enshrine 90% of obamacare into their own bill. it’s really not that big of a deal
Not the biggest news of the day; Levin’s comment may have been the most hyperbolic of the day. The Convention of the States ain’t gonna happen. Just sayin
I don’t see how a convention of the states will fix anything, since the blue states are the source of our political headaches.
USA existential threat ConCon job, here we come, Yahoo!
Phylis Schaffly tried to warn us about this since the 1970’s ERA initiative.
*there is Absolutely nothing wrong with the US Constitution, it needs no ammendment, nor do states need anything new rights or protections.
All We The People need to do to ensure a free and sound Republic, is to vote out every scoundrel that threatens our liberty and sound economic future.
Eff’ing what hath we wrought Pandora’s box

Last time I checked, 11 was a long way from 34.
‘Earthquake’...’stunning’...’shocking’...oh, the hyperbole!
I guess I should have paid closer attention in my civics classes in school all those many years ago.
The 16th & 17th amendments broke the USC. I am a big proponent of Art V!!!!!
I realize how difficult it is to not think in terms of rat/GOP.
The COS will not be a mirror of congress.
Rather than congress, a far better comparison is with the familiar Electoral College (EC). Both the COS and EC are federal and temporary institutions. Unlike reps and senators to congress, the delegates to a COS and electors to the EC are limited by state law.
The election of Trump and the reluctance of congressional Republicans to deal with the corruption of governing institutions is all the more reason to support the COS.
Mark tends to exaggerate
Looking at this map it seems that only the “red” states have passed it.I wonder if that means that Rat Party states like mine wouldn’t pass it.I see my home state is “white”...I assume that means that the matter isn’t even being considered.
I totally agree. I have a lot more faith in the founding fathers than I do in today’s political class.
