On the drive in, Fox Business was talking roughly 165K, so this is much better than they thought.

That 4.4 number is still bogus due to government counting procedures, but congratulations to President Trump—it is a move in the right direction that he has been working hard for.

When will the unemployment rate go back to being accurately stated, like it was before obama started lying about it?

We can see how easy it is and also how diabolical and evil those in control can make your life. First 100 days we are already moving forward, 8 years of the impostor and the rats in general have put us all in misery and watched the masses who work support the masses that dont thanks to the rats and thier socialist agenda. We are a capitalist country those who disagree should be exported

It’s time for the Federal Reserve to raise rates and wreck everything. They can’t allow the working middle class to get into an advantageous position in the marketplace.

It’s still not much to jump up and down about but it’s better than Bammy’s results.

If the unemployment number accurately reflected reality, employers would be BEGGING for employees. Instead, the job market is tremendously competitive and layoffs still happen by the thousands.

This number has been a farce for years. It was a farce under Obama and it’s still a farce under Trump.

Wouldn’t disagree. How does this compare to local numbers we hear put out by say the city or county economic development folks? We are in a small Indiana city United Technologies is leaving for Mexico and our unemployment is still touted as very low and there are a lot of ads in the local paper, more than a couple years ago for sure.

I care more about the u6 getting lower. The u3 is not a good indicator.

For the last month or so, I’ve tried to take note of this:

Every third small business in this town has “Help wanted” “Hiring how” and “Join our team” posted on it’s outside advertising boards, closest to the road.

I haven’t checked the want ads.

But the u3 is the one that gets broader press coverage.

Until the BLS is overhauled and we keep relying on fake numbers - these monthly announcements are a joke.

I hope this sticks. I remember reading a great figure for March and somehow it got lowered.

When you read about all of the companies that are reinvesting, and all the people who say they’re adding jobs, this rate has to keep climbing.
