When self-evident values and aims are replaced by ‘mission statements’ and ‘empowerment’ rhetoric you know the lefties have taken over.

More than 40 years ago, I had occasion to visit a local YWCA, and even then it had been taken over by leftist feminists. I suppose that is now what has happened to the Girl Scouts.
Takeover? It’s been that way since founding. The message was clear, but regional diffusion dampened some of the crazy. They are just getting better at reigning in the independent thought.
