They have the ability to launch missiles to reach the East Coast of the U. S.? Pardon me if this is a dumb question but who is meant by “they” and “their” - the U.S. or N. Korea? N. Korea would launch by sub off our E. Coast? The tenders then would be sending a pretty large signal to us, wouldn’t they? Just wondering!

“”Watch where they send their sub tenders””

“”Bill Forstchen, a good friend, has lectured the Army War College and the Pentagon and is an expert on EMPs””

I like his books - there is a FReeper who has written a series of books on this subject but I’ve forgotten his name..I bought one but never followed up on the sequel...Anyone remember the screen name?

Of course it wouldn’t “take out” CA as in a nuke blast, but it would send CA back to the 1200s, which is almost as effective.

The US accidentally tested an EMP bomb in Hawaii, and it only sent Hawaii back to July, 1962. That was the date of the Starfish Prime detonation, a 1.4 megaton blast 250 miles high. Several traffic lights and garage door openers and telephone service were knocked out of commission in Honolulu, 900 miles away.

Interesting. All I’m saying is what experts in the field say. Forstchen is among the best, called to lecture on at the Pentagon about EMP.

“”They and their refer to the Nork Navy””

But could they get to the East Coast of the U.S.? Certainly not without being intercepted if they have to have supply ships with them? I would assume our technology would find them long before that but why was the East Coast mentioned as being a “perhaps” target?

Don’t have to tell you these questions are from someone totally ignorant of such things - love the adventure novels I devour but real happenings is something else.

Appreciate your time...

More lucrative targets, NYC, US Capital, Trump.

Oh, come on. I’m originally from California. I still have many family members there. Stop clutching your pearls.

You must have clutched your pearls to the point that you had to leave. Have a nice day day.

I understand that - and certainly DC sounds appropriate - LOL but HOW is what I’m wondering about - without detection?

Thanks for your patience....

That would not be the first time that a NKorean ship traveled in that direction. They were caught in the Panama Canal trying to smuggle weapons out of Cuba in 2013.

That little twerp (cleanest word to use) just really needs to go. With Hillary wanting to reemerge as a powerful dictator, couldn’t we find a way to remove that idiot and install her over there? She’d love that much power and just think - we’d have her out of our lives. She really does need a country she can control to her heart’s content. I don’t think she’d really care where or what it was if she could be in charge. Don’t know what this country ever did to have the Clintons thrust on us with no end in sight!

I left back in 1979, because I saw where the state was going. Then I sold the land I owned there because I did not want to pay taxes to such a state.

California has good weather, for the most part; but other than that it sucks.
