Now that the language has posted, here are the eight most notable areas Trump caved in his first big spending negotiation: . Administration officials have insisted they already have the statutory authority to start building the wall under a 2006 law. This prevents such an end run.
The $1.5 billion for border security is also half as much as the White House requested. Additionally, there are no cuts in funding to sanctuary cities, something a federal judge said last week would be required for the Justice Department to follow through on its threats. And there is also no money for a deportation force.
2. Non-defense domestic spending will go up, despite the Trump teams insistence he wouldnt let that happen. The president called for $18 billion in cuts. Instead, hes going to sign a budget with lots of sweeteners that grow the size of government. Mitch McConnell made sure $4.6 billion got put aside to permanently extend health benefits to 22,000 retired Appalachian coal miners and their families. Nancy Pelosi made sure $295 million was included to shore up Medicaid in Puerto Rico. Chuck Schumer got $61 million to reimburse local law enforcement agencies for the cost of protecting Trump when he travels to his residences in Florida and New York. There is also another $2 billion in disaster relief money for states, which bought a couple votes. (Kelsey Snell, our lead budget reporter, has more examples.)
3. Barack Obamas cancer moonshot is generously funded.

it’s 64dd chess negotiation, after signing this into law, will go back and fix it.... maybe in the second term.
I want to see Trump spin this into fake news!
Could it be more 3-D Chess?
People like Paul Ryan smile when they stab someone in the back.
If Trump signs this, he is knowingly cutting his own nuts off.
But if he wants to win the support of folks who hate him at the expense of folks who don’t, that’s his decision to make.
No, this is more the Art of War.
In other words, don’t pick a fight you can’t win.
The dirty little secret that none of the trolls orgasming over the budget will tell you is that there’s a Democrat supermajority in both houses, just that some of them are in the GOP.
Instead it’s somehow Trump’s fault.
It’s disgusting how happy so called conservatives are about this budget.
No spinning this, it’s a humiliating capitulation to the Rats. We got NOTHING. Why is there not one word about vetoing this. Could it be the Kushner gang was complicit?
He will never win support from the people who hates him. He will lose support for the ones who voted for him. Me being one of them.
Well I guess you could call it a giant bomb: :-) https://www.google.com/search?q=64dd&tbm=isch&imgil=_pmvyXfzAEkn6M%253A%253B7Ez9MLofHdy3vM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.giantbomb.com%25252Fnintendo-64dd%25252F3045-101%25252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=_pmvyXfzAEkn6M%253A%252C7Ez9MLofHdy3vM%252C_&usg=__L92JmZ5qngp7oa5KUJuKsB_Jrks%3D&biw=1366&bih=662&ved=0ahUKEwjyvOigqc_TAhXHg1QKHd98D08QyjcIXg&ei=HX4HWbK6EMeH0gLf-b34BA#imgrc=_pmvyXfzAEkn6M:
And if he signs it, the message is clear, and not a good one.
Please, stop. I adore the President, but enough with this 3-D chess nonsense.
Signing it would be the equivalent of GHWB violating his no new taxes pledge, only far worse.
Bull! Crap! Trump caved before the fight even began. He and the GOP betrayed America. Accept it. We were screwed.
What was so bad about Ted Cruz again??? At least this man would have fought for America to the bitter end.
Yes, they would grow one except it would be to join with the RATS in overriding Trump's veto.
On Sunday, the president acknowledged he has a lot to learn. I think the rules in Congress and, in particular the rules in the Senate, are unbelievably archaic and slow moving and, in many cases, unfair, Trump said on CBSs Face the Nation. In many cases, you're forced to make deals that are not the deal you'd make. You'd make a much different kind of a deal. You're forced into situations that you hate to be forced into."
Im afraid that constitutionally low-information Trump is being assimilated by the Borg (Star Trek) Congress.
Rolling GOPee voters over and over is unsustainable. Ask Eric Cantor, riche$ be upon him.
Next come the progressive judicial nominees. *Barf me*, Trump lovers! Oh yes, I’d still vote for him over Hillary Madoff Clinton, but the GOP just pi**ed on America!
I suspect the Freedom Caucus will vote against this monstrosity.
Some RINOs may vote against it if it is assured of passage without their vote -— before they head off to the celebratory parties thrown by their K Street lobbyist contributors.
