like you said local issue. let the school district decide how its going to do a school lunch program or even if they are going to have one at all. I remember forty-five years ago when I was in first grade all the kids did sack lunches and the school provided milk for either a nickel or a dime. I cant remember the price it was so long ago and I was only six years old.
I wonder, did most schools comply with the moose’s guidelines? It reminds me of VW’s recent disaster when they got caught. No one seems to question why a multinational company would take the huge gamble they took. Could it be the regulations were so outrageous and nearly impossible that were they felt forced to “cheat” or cease making many of the cars.
I went through 12 years of Catholic school without a cafeteria. We brought our lunches from home.
We had a slider coin-operated machine that we could choose orange juice, grape drink, white or chocolate milk. It was a dime for an 8 ounce cardboard carton in the late ‘60s.
