It almost pains me to bring this up on the same day that I finally found some good news out of Baltimore, but this has far more to do with the municipal management team than the cops on the beat. Were once again veering back to the ongoing saga of so-called sanctuary cities figuring out ways to not cooperate with immigration officials in matters of law enforcement. One of the key sticking points for these liberal municipal leaders is that ICE is already deporting some illegals who are only guilty of minor crimes. Never ones to be short of outside the box thinking when tackling problems, the citys States Attorney Office has come up with a real brainstorm. ICE wont be able to pick them up if we dont charge them with the crimes in the first place. Nope.. this isnt even a joke. (Baltimore Sun)
The Baltimore States Attorneys Office has instructed prosecutors to think twice before charging illegal immigrants with minor, non-violent crimes in response to stepped up immigration enforcement by the Trump administration.
Deputy States Attorney Michael Schatzow, in a memo sent to all staff Thursday and obtained by The Sun, wrote that the Justice Departments deportation efforts have increased the potential collateral consequences to certain immigrants of minor, non-violent criminal conduct.
In considering the appropriate disposition of a minor, non-violent criminal case, please be certain to consider those potential consequences to the victim, witnesses, and the defendant, Schatzow wrote.
Theres a fairly clear line between defiant resistance to Trump and going completely around the bend.

Oh, so NOW laws are just for the middle people.
Well, if letting illegals prey on your citizens doesn’t eventually turn the citizenry Republican, I don’t know what will.
Welcome to the upside down world of liberals. Maybe someone can help me here, but this state of affairs makes me think of Lewis Carroll and something he would possibly write about.
So.... they’re NOT going to PERFORM their sworn duty, because President Trump IS performing his sworn duty ?
Violation of 14th amendment equal protection: discrimination against citizens of the United States.
If the Republicans don’t make an issue of this, they should be declared legally dead.
Pull all federal funding for sanctuary cities NOW
Can we use a catapult to deport them with?
I’m sure the Mexican government would put up a net to catch them...
Equal laws for all or no laws for all. There is no in between.
Can’t have it both ways Baltimore.
Baltimore is a dump.
Who are the people in Baltimore loyal to, the United States or Mexico.
Perhaps Mexico will be happy to fund their little sanctuary city, since the U.S. won’t.
I honestly can’t wait to see some of these mayors and police chiefs behind bars. And frankly, I’m of a mind to extend that to city council members who defy the laws of our nation.
A little time in the pokey should wise some folks up.
Turning red into blue with brown, yellow and black to beat white is the agenda I see from here on the couch......
But we’re winning the war on green.
Stuck on stupid!
[[”ICE wont be able to pick them up if we dont charge them with the crimes in the first place.”]]
Well then, we can all cross the border south, renounce our citizenship in hte US- then sneak back across border as illegal immigrants and never ever be charged for crimes again then
That sounds just swell!
LOL...
I’m not convinced that by the end of the four years, the brown yellow and black are going to be lining up behind the reds.
If we send 1 billion a year as foreign aid to mexico, and we spend a billion federal monies on sanctuary citrs, cut mexico foreign aid and tell them we are spending their money on their citizens in our country’s sanctuary cities....
Mexico city will be thrilled about it...
